Yes you'll find that most of the 2020 models have had bars, grips, tyres, forks, shocks, wheels, dropper posts, cassettes replaced whereas the 2021 models haven't had them replaced yet.
Yes every upgrade from grips to bars & finally cushcores have helped. I think the cushcores & low tyre pressures have been the best however after the first ride I tend to forget how it was before installing them.
I tried my mates accoustic SC with Lyrics the other day & was very impressed with...
Finally installed my cushcores. Watched a couple of installation vids & TBH took maybe ten minutes more than a tyre change. Took the bike for a ride & I def love them. I like running my tyres quite low & like the spongy feeling of low pressures. They sucked up all the small square edge bumps &...
I took off the plastic tape & retaped it with (crappy) stans tape. The original strip was a lot thinner & more rubbery/flexible than I expected however the tape defintiely leaves more room to get that bead into the centre. I was also amazed how easier it was to get the tyre off after a few...
If I was to try my giant 27.5 wheel out before I commit it would just be a matter of changing the rotor with magnet attached? My giant cassette is 11 speed & rail is 12 speed. Would I be able to get it to shift smoothly or would I risk the chance of rooting my chain? I don't actually shift much...
Good replies. The shop was out of cushcores so I ended up getting rid of the rim insert & tapeing the rim instead. The original plastic (rubber really) insert wasn't as thick as I expected but having the tape is more reassuring in case I burp the tyre I can now fit a tube in to get me home. For...
Noticed this damage to my rear rim while getting ready to install cushcores.
I have been riding on it with no noticeable effect.
I am now wondering if I can use it as justification to mullet my bike.
The only reason I really want to mullet it is to stop it ripping off the klingons during steep...
Hey Tony how do you find the lever? Looking at one of these as they seem quite good. The FAQs are quite funny. It looks like I may be able to reverse it & perhaps use it with a finger pull rather than a thumb push. Otherwise I might try the giant switch
