What front mudguard did you get on there?

Though the primary issue up to now with the front has been water spray splashing me in the face, thus would need a much larger guard for that, or like a whole bike shield ;)
Its just a mucky nuts, it doesnt stop a lot of mud. More so protects the stanchions from rock strikes.

I do love the ploink's of the stones hitting the bottom in the morning ;)

Though, sometimes one is like "@$@$!, did I lose something there"; hence, always bolt everything down properly and check before and after riding if things are closed off (pockets, phones etc), nuts are still tight etc.

I’ve done some 300km on my Rail so far. Quite impressed with the handling. Fun and poppy yet fairly stable on the runs down. I’m 186 cm (6.1”) and I do need to lean forward a bit in the steep climbs. Not an issue, just takes getting used to.

The SE5 tires are ok in the mud, not more. Will upgrade those when I get the chance.

Agree, the Bosch motor is really nice. Sure, not as quiet as the Brose for sure. That however has never been an issue for me. Not as I’m panting and giving off all sort of sounds myself

What size do you run? a large?

My rail resting at various spots on today’s ride. Left Dunkeld and did Loch Ordie then up to Loch Oissineach and round the top, had issues with soft ground and a knee height peat bog. But overall I enjoyed it. 21 miles done and bike was seriously minting when I got in. All washed and clean now though. Just need to dry out the shoes..

My '21 9.7 XL just picked up, the dark grey/black and chrome decal is awesome. New brakes, shock, dropper and drivetrain to come in the next month or so, couldn't be happier. Kiox is sick too, thought it would be a gimmick but loving it.

I might give it a good clean tomorrow !

I have ridden it for 18 consecutive days in the lake district. Around 16,000m of vertical and just over 370 miles :)

The paint is not that tough which is a bit disappointing, but it is only paint ( I prefer this weakness to having a levo motor ! ). Also, the tektro rotors were rubbish and so were replaced with shimano which are much better.

Wee trip up to Loch Muick today. Went with 2 guys on normal bikes who said even you will struggle on the steep bits... well I cleared 80% of the 2 big climbs today. Only the boulders positioning on some parts really stopped progress. The downhill section was marvellous aswell but put 2 health dings in the side of my rim.. safe to pull them out with pliers?? Also had a pedal fall off even though I checked them last week..

Wee trip up the Sidlaws this morning. Better than I remember as I haven’t been up for years. Didn’t go far as had my non ebike mate with me but nice to get (very) muddy again. Yet another clean required when I got home but worth it.
