My christmas present to myself arrived the other day - a new Charger 2.1RC & set of skf seals.
I had borrowed a shockwiz a few weeks before to get bit of a baseline on the Yari & although it gave the motion control damper the thumbs up it recommended increasing the HSC. I felt I wanted more out...
Yes I'm a convert to the 29er movement too.
Ummm I got a cheap sram nx eagle 12s 126 chain for $42. I have heard it doesn't support the hyperglide but am I better taking it back than trying it? They were scratching their heads about getting one in from their suppliers so I could buy onlinr from...
Double check the tubeless aspect - unless you asked for it I would suspect that with those tyres left on it they meant tubeless ready.
EWhen I bought my bike I got home & realised I didn't have a charger??? I went back to the shop & they gave me the box with the leaflet you got (with disc) &...
Hence the charger & dvo coil upgrade - I'm saving money.:sneaky:
I was amazed how many rails were in Evo the other day. However give it a week & they'll prob be gone. Interestingly T7 are now stocking Whytes. They're a good looking bike & I would have thrown one of those into the choice however...
Yes I hear the wearing of the chain happens expotentially after 0.5. I think evo have some cheap chains at around $40ish so may try one & see how they go as an experiment. I would def go Deore for the cassette as I'm in the 51 all the time. In fact as I'm a spinner, it is very rare that I use...
Rude rock track in Queenstown's coronet peak road is cool. only grade 2-3 but the flow & scenery is awesome. The bike park by the gondola has good range of speed, jump & techy tracks. The ride back up is pretty easy too. Didn't get a chance to ride Glendhu bay in Wanaka but heard really good...
Were they too busy? Maybe suspension upgrades can turn into a pita for the mechanics if (we) customers keep coming back taking up their time askng advice about settings etc?
Seems to me that the charger upgrade is a simple plug & play type swapover. I am also swapping the wipers to SKF so will...
For those of you that have added motors onto their existing bikes what are the basic things you would recommend?
I made the mistake of letting my wife ride my bike while on holiday & she's sold on them. Unfortunately for the amount of use it may get it wouldn't be worth spending big money on...
Yes very good. I've got a Charger 2.1RC ordered from a boxing day sale so hopefully it'll actually be in stock & when it turns up I can replace the moco. Interestingly I used a shockwiz on my yari & the only thing it recommended was increasing the HSC so i guess the moco does a pretty adequate...
Yep. The reason I got an emtb was because of a bad back. As soon as the bike is up & over the fence it gets dropped - no way i'm straining my back setting it down nicely ?
Unfortunately I think you've answered your own question. Put your old one back on till the shops get stock back in. If you have a google on MTBR oneup thread you'll find people have difficulty with their posts not dropping using their existing levers. I tried two & couldn't get it to drop with...
