For some reason it doesn't really show or state it but the endura humvee cycling trouser II has a zip on each leg that runs from ankle to knee. If I've got to drive to the trails I'll be wearing them and just unzip that bit to allow me to put knee pads on rather than taking the trousers off.
Personally I don't think it's worth it. There is a greater than zero chance it can mess up and leave you stranded miles from anywhere.
It's not going to stop a thief, just mildly inconvenience them and they'll strip and sell your bike for parts rather than as a whole.

I wonder what influences motor choice with these brands. Do Shimano offer kick backs and great deals in order to get Santa Cruz to exclusively use them or do Santa Cruz choose the motor based on their own findings?
