I've got an action team myself and an extremely happy with it. You might be able to find a 2022 model within budget, there's very little change from 2022 to 2023.
That SLT though is an absolute bargain for the spec, you won't get near that for the price.
Cube stereo hybrid 160 ticks all your boxes, the top of the range SLT is £3k off the 2022 model:

Have you looked for a second hand 2022 model? For the exact reasons listed, there was an increase in battery capacity and the smart system was fitted on the 2022 bikes.
The difference between SL, TM, action team and SLT (apart from paint job) is different shocks and forks, different brakes...
You wouldn't complain it was the cars fault if you shifted gear in a Porsche without using the clutch and shattered the gearbox.
The bikes are built to be used, not abused. You'll need some mechanical sympathy to use an e-bike properly.
In that case it's going to entirely come down to what you want out of it. I hired as well to get an idea and it made my mind up 100%. When you're dropping thousands on a new bike spending £80 to help you decide is well worth it.
Welcome!
'it depends' is the answer.
Who will you be riding with, if your friends are on normal bikes then you won't make good use of a full fat so may as well go with light emtb.
Depends on the routes you like/want to do, your fitness etc
Full fat has enabled me to do routes I'd never have been...
You'll need to dig through the manual and find the axle spec, it'll probably be 15x110mm boost but you'll need the thread pitch details. Check your existing axle in case it's printed on.
Once you've got the details it should be straight forward to then search for a quick release.
Yes! So the rear is:

Which is boost 148mm length with 15mm of thread with a M12 X1 pitch. (12mm diameter axle)
(Overall 163mm length)
The difficulty is sourcing...
There's a group on Facebook for e-bike rides in the northwest.
Worth joining if you're in that area.
