My wife and I were thinking of coming over the pond to go to Goodwood next year, and possibly spanning to the British GP. This may fit nicely in the middle! Hope it becomes an annual!
If I lived up there, I'd ride them... hasslers need to get over it. Not everyone is 25 and fit. I'm as fit as I can be at 56, working 50H a week... Doc said I need to exercise.
Haven't heard of either one until now! Thanks for the tip! When it cools down a bit, those look fantastic, still a drive like everything else, since I'm in the valley. I heard New Melones had some riding too, and our last trip up to Arnold is what convinced us we were ready for the E train...
Not sure. I haven't been back since I moved away. Just saw Redding Chamber of Commerce at Sea Otter touting the MTB action. No E is a USFS thing. Until they change their stance, the signs will remain.
Some neat looking trails there. We drive over to Santa Cruz mostly to escape the valley heat. Closest trails are Exchequer MTB park, and that is too hot for me this time of year.
My son and I are planning a mountain bike trip up to the Bend, OR area in a few weeks, we do this every year. We usually tour with Cog Wild, but this year, we want to do something different, so are thinking of going to Bachelor. So, I called to ask the question...

I would never buy a Giant. My wife bought a barely used Giant E-Road bike, with 150 miles on it that is now having battery issues. Giant wouldn't touch it, since she was the 2nd owner. With Covid, they pulled the computer system out of my local dealer, preferring to supply a large retailer...
They angled the outlets inward. I checked them out at the booth at Sea Otter, to me, it looks like you could add the little clamps, and re-route the wire and cable a little tighter. It wouldn't be quite as nice, but it definitely would be an improvement. The SRAM guy said they would be...
If you ride regularly, and can navigate the loose ground, you will be fine. The lunch stop was great, lots of choices, even a beer. Check out my Instagram link for pics, my wife and I are not riding much yet, and did good. It was a long day in the saddle for me, but I used my battery plenty on...
