:eek: Yes I can see your point, that does look expensive and to be fair they don't need much help in consuming transmission parts anyway, let alone bathed in grinding paste.
I think Eddie makes a good point, a lot depends on where and when you ride, local conditions and the time of year will all have a role in deciding on your preferred tyres.
But I do think, that in general Ebikes require a more robust tyre than you would otherwise use on an analogue machine...
It's the future, without a doubt and the best bit is it's not really existing bike owners moving over to E-bikes that's fueling this growth, but the appeal of E-bikes in general is attracting lot's of new first time owners and riders coming back to cycling after many years out, myself included...
