2018 Specialized Turbo Levo Review - First ever YouTube rideout video

Thanks Eddie Appreciate your help, Personally I tend to only buy the DH versions, I hate messing around with punctures and love the grip from the Ultra soft, compound especially in winter. 11100966.0165-584 (27.5 x 2.60) Downhill Addix Ultra Soft Not tried the apex or the Addix soft yet...

What mods and alterations to personalise you emtb?

MRP ramp control  I looked into this a little, great Idea, way better than tokens. If I remember it was an "either or" thing with the Luftkappe and MRP, as both would not fit together in a 2016 160 Pike. My new bike has a 2018 160mm Lyric and I believe that has a larger negative air...

What mods and alterations to personalise you emtb?

Hey Ecky! Funny you should mention that  Just ordered a new bike with the Shimano package and I have been looking into how I can retain the 1X remote. What I have found out is.........Shimano E6000 uses a switch, very similar to the new Brose/Specialized unit for 2018..............see...

What mods and alterations to personalise you emtb?

Great thread, this got me thinking  Not really taken many pic's, but I found this one of when it was new, early 2016. Since then I think I have replaced or upgraded almost everything  Geometry: Came as 67 Degree head angle, now at 65 by adding 10mm of travel to the pikes (now...

2018 Specialized Turbo Levo Review - First ever YouTube rideout video

Hey Rob Nice video, Levo looks beautiful. Hopefully, you have miss heard the Specialized Tech, because 50 psi o_O is insane for 2.8 tyres on 38mm rims and way beyond the maximum most wheel manufacturers recommend for that size tyre / rim combo. I would have thought 15 front 18 rear off -...

What kind of range are you getting from your rides?

Hi Eddie All sounds a bit worrying  I would be very interested to read more about the problems being caused by this minority of owners you mention and the very worrying consequences of their irresponsible attitude, that you say might lead to a ban of Ebikes in Bike Parks and on Forestry...

Kenevo Gen1 Official 2018/2019 Kenevo thread

Mission accomplished I think, they are very popular around us and so they should be they have got a really nice range of bikes on offer. If Bosch get their inevitable CX revamp right it would be a great alliance. I Have a Bosch CX at the moment and it has been great experience especially the...

The best kinds of motors in an electric mountain bike are:

Well I'm sincerely hoping it's the Shimano E8000  Paid my money over with no test ride!:sick::sick::sick: Lots of research and it sounds to me that Shimano, with the E8000 offers, probably the best overall package available at the moment, it certainly is the lightest most compact...

Kenevo Gen1 Official 2018/2019 Kenevo thread

Hi Rob I will do my best to find you the review, I read the article a while ago and it was the point at which I decided the Kenovo would be too much for me to pedal uphill even with 15% stronger motor support. So I stopped researching them. The comment was made by the Journalist referencing a...

Kenevo Gen1 Official 2018/2019 Kenevo thread

A From what you have said, it would appear that the demo bike we had was OK, its just the way the old motor was. Sounds like the new S motor is a lot stronger than the old motor. As you say the fact that your 2018 Kenevo climbs faster than your older Levos, which in truth it really...

Electric Mountain Bikes VS Non-Electric Mountain Bikes!

I love it when people say "That's cheating" "That's not real mountain biking" Cheating Who? Who's Reality? Normally I hear this on a climb, mostly from collapsed riders trying to get their lungs back in their chest's  Mostly it's older guys like me, but who have yet to face the...

    Answered Which eMTB to buy?

That is a very difficult question to answer. As mentioned above, it is a very complicated thing choosing a new bike and much depends on what you like to ride and the way you like to ride it. Are you XC, Trail, All Mtn / Enduro or a downhill inspired rider? Each will throw up a very different...
