 Eddie you are one very sick puppy..........................................there is something very wrong with that chart .................................
It clearly show's you climbing 6000 odd metres (ye sorry Ft )...
Couldn't agree more, I'm sure the Levo is a wonderful bike and I've never said any different, however........
You said " I don’t like the Bosch adaptive system because I have no choice in wether it changes modes or not". "It’s like an automatic transmission in a car"
Really? have you ever...
The Bosch e-mtbt mode does not simply change modes, like an automatic gearbox, as you put it, it's far more subtle than that and of course you don't like it and that's because Specialized don't have anything like it on offer..........................................
I would love 160 mm, I even contacted Miranda in Spain but so far heard nothing.........
As far as I know Shimano offer 170-175 mm option with a 165mm option announced late last year but I cant find them anywhere?
So am I missing something? This is all that I can find, these or the hollow tech...
Ecky you are the Man!
I was hoping you had found a cheaper option designed for something else that did the same job, but if it's Shimano only, then I will just order one from Bike 24
had it in my basket for a while, 40 Euro's I think.
Now when you say shorter cranks are we talking 165mm, as I...
Hey Eddie
I know from old (Pedelec forum) that you are not a fan of Bosch's E-mtb mode, but I honestly have never had an issue with it and still think it's the best thing about the whole motor. I know you don't but each to our own :)
TBH I really am hoping that my new Shimano motor will offer...
That would be great, thanks :)
A pic with a ruler across its face would be ace or internal external dimensions what ever is easiest for you.
Did you have to buy the original shimano tool or did you manage to find a cheaper alternative ?
Thanks Eddie,
My current gearing, therefore with 17 x 2.5 = 42.5
So is equal to 11-42 rear 42 front
My new bike has 11-48 rear 34 front, I think I will be looking for walls to climb with that
Better start looking into front chain ring options :D
Hey Doomanic
Even better the Pike max is 160mm but the Yari is essentialy the same as the lyric, just a different damper, and so max out at 180, all you need is the air spring shaft to change the length to 160.170 or 180 last one probably a bit extreme?
I think, (sure I'll get corrected if...
Thanks Ecky great pic, I can see it now, clear as day :D
I currently run a Bosch with 11-42 and 17 front.......it came with a 15 and then I tried 16 and now settled on the 17. We have a few fairly steep climbs locally and I find them no problem at all, but mostly its fairly open and reasonably...
Hey Saura.....
Sweet looking thing........but I don't think the tyres would be much good, specially were Eddie lives
Besides, my mates take the mick out of me relentlessly ......can only imagine what grief I would get if I turned up on this
No not for me...
Hey Ecky
I think I might be missing something here?
You said, in previous post .........the individual steps between gears? Wonder if it could be tuned ok with front rings?
As far as I can make out, and hopefully this is the bit I'm missing, there are only two chain ring options available 34T...
My excuse for being at home today is officially, I'm sourcing timber and materials for a customer and waiting for a delivery to land at Screwfix. Cant think of one for tomorrow yet so it looks like i'll have to get back to it :( I owe I owe it's off to work I go
Your day's...
Hey Doomanic
That's the newer 2017 model to Chris's bike, very nice get's great reviews. Don't forget you can change the stroke on the pikes to 160 mm just by changing the air spring shaft, very cheap and easy mod :D
Hey Tamas
Thanks for the info, very interesting to hear your comments.
From what you say I'm glad I have ordered the 450 and 500 springs, by the sounds of it, I might need to diet a "tiny bit" for the 450 spring
 (I know my mates Kernow and ChrisP have both had to order 600 lbs...
