Any motor really, don’t really know the differences but I’m sure that they are all the same really?

The best motor depends on what you expect from the bike, they are all good but have very different feel. I have experience of
brose 1.2 smooth and quiet but a bit unreliable. brose 1.3 super smooth and powerful very very quiet, with very good heat management in specialised tune its the most "normal bike feel" of all of them (in my opinion)

Shimano I really like this one very powerful near to normal QF very smooth and quiet, it would be my second choice over the turbo levo and it would be in a focus, cracking bike and if it wasnt for the slightly weird (to me) riding position I would have bought one

We sell Haibike, Giant and Specialized in our store. I don’t like the way the battery sticks out on the Bosch Haibike. It makes the center of gravity too high and the bike looks like it has a tumor. The power is great, but I don’t like handlebar mounted displays and extra wires running through the frame. It’s also not a very good handling Mountain bike. The Giant has a Yamaha motor and it super loud. The power is pretty good on the hills and it feels faster on level ground compared to the Levo. The bike doesn’t handle like a comparable regular mountain bike from Giant. It feels like it rides to high and it sucks cornering.

The Levo has less torque on the climbs but the integration of the battery and the motor looks the best. The motor is super quiet and the power delivery is second to none. The bike easily handles the best out of all the other emtbs we sell in our store. The tuning software is one of the best features of the Brose/Specialized platform. The bike actually handles better than my Stumpjumper. So I would choose Brose

Well I'm sincerely hoping it's the Shimano E8000  Paid my money over with no test ride!:sick::sick::sick:

Lots of research and it sounds to me that Shimano, with the E8000 offers, probably the best overall package available at the moment, it certainly is the lightest most compact and best integrated so far.

But more importantly its clever and well considered design has allowed manufacturers to make E mtb's with modern geometry to match the very best non assisted bikes currently available. Long, low and slack with short chainstays. :D:D:D

At the moment a lot of big brands appear to be adopting the Shimano package especially over Bosch's, now long in the tooth CX package, but I can't imagine that Bosch, or any of the big motor manufacturers will just stand buy and let their market share slip away, in an otherwise stagnant (non assisted) bike market Ebike sales are becoming ever more important.

And this hopefully will be to all our advantages, development of ebikes is happening at a very strong pace and competition for market share in the ever expanding ebike market can only mean better bikes for us all to ride in the future.

I heard a rumour today that Specialized in the future may be moving to Bosch. Just a rumour!

That is my understanding as well.

I have three friends with Levos, and they have yet to be out o a ride at the same time. There is always something wrong with one or the other bikes. We have been trying to get a group ride together for months, and it just isn't happening.

We have sold over sixty Turbo Levos and have yet to replace a motor.

I wasn't aware that I even mentioned replacing the motor. Perhaps you could show me where I did?
