How future proof are E mountain bikes

According to Specialized there is no way of adding a switch. I will dig out the website where I found the info.

How future proof are E mountain bikes

Specialized have said if a pre 18MY motor dies you will get a refurbed old one as a replacement. The 18MY SW which uses a switch / control functions on the handle bars will not work on earlier models due to this apparently ?

How future proof are E mountain bikes

Whatever you buy - you are guaranteed it won't fit anything after a couple of years. The Levo is a good example with the Brose motor, the 18MY motor even though looks the same as the older motor, won't work in a older Levo due to SW. Battery tech is getting better but you are not likely to see...

    SRAM?!

To be honest I have also always used Shimano and thought it was great, like you I also like my gears to run perfectly and with the SRAM setup on the Levo, I am always struggling to get them running right. Failing to change gear and then jumping is a regular occurrence, I also ease off when I...

Levo Gen 2 Specialised Turbo Levo Regular Maintenance

I am about to change a number of bits on the Levo, brakes, wheels, cassette, chain. I am not happy with brakes, the Guide R are no where as good as my old Hopes, the XD freehub I am also not happy with, so going with a Hope Shimano setup. I am going to try the KMC e-bike chain, to he honest the...

How far do you ride on your eBike

I don't like using the motor unless I have to, when HR gets around high 170s or I am going through a really rough / tricky bit. I am now down to 15% in ECO on the Levo, 50% for trail. I have geared the bike lower to allow me to peddle more on the hills without needing the motor. Done FOD many...

How far do you ride on your eBike

Try to average about 20 miles, all depends on how long the misses can deal with the kids ? If cycling local, 20 miles uses about 20% battery.

    Strava group

Hi. Couldn't find anything when I did a search, but has anyone thought about setting up a emtb Strava group? I am part of the local cycling club on Strava and I thought it would be good to see how far around the globe this club stretches out, plus how many miles we are doing and which seem to be...
