stone chips? i'm more concerned about losing paint along the bottom bracket as there doesn't seem to be any non hideous looking protection available, i might just chop up a tyre and stick it on. Where i've been riding there's been a fair bit of contact from large rocks :ROFLMAO: at least whyte...
limiter will be active on the way up as it does have an effect on the feeling of assistance at low speeds. Likely to have the limiter off but run eco mode on the way down at least on the runs with jumps.
I guess i just got used to manhandling this bike. i throw it into the car most weekends...
Couldn't get uplift. So going to try and manage battery best I can. The fire road section is easily doable in eco mode. I'm riding with 5 with uplift and 1 emtb without uplift. If they have any wait to get on the uplift then I don't see us needing to rush back up.
But I've lifted the bike...
waiting on my new chains arriving then the new drivetrain can go on and try to swap the chains back over every 150-200 miles/month to at least allow for one chain to run into the ground if one snaps.
1250 miles in now. Still on the original cassette but bike park wales next month so i might just swap it over soon.
For the most part everything still works well and it does still feel so planted on even the most scary (for me) terrain.
Although for a little over 7 months use i'm a bit...
Back up ladybower this time without any non assisted peasants slowing me down ?
it was the guy with the levo's first time down the beast, they went an alternate route last time. my dropper post broke and the levo took a rock to the battery cover which cracked it.
Personally unless you are chasing weight savings i don't think the upgrade is worthwhile. I'm actually in the process of dropping down to the shimano freehub based NX eagle cassette (pg-1230) from the xg-1275 (10-52t) as there aren't really any benefits to be gained on an eMTB for all the extra...
hadn't seen this post but i have just ordered 2 from here with the intention of swapping them out every 150-200 miles rather than having 1 chain getting worn and the new one not sitting well in the cassette. granted it means a few wasted split links.
plus they are starting to get as rare as a...
mine sits upside down but is also almost always chin mounted rather than chest. probably still sits angled too low but when its slammed to its lowest angle it still seems to have watchable footage, ideally i would raise it 5 degrees or so but it seldom wants to stay there.

honestly it was more likely the day before when i was intentionally going too far over a jump and not bothering to move the oring back, the beast while rough isn't particularly hard hitting.

i found the biggest hurdle with the gopro footage was youtube butchering the quality unless you render it at some stupid bitrate first. the raw footage is usually near perfect.
with enough planning i might be able to pull it off but i would need to make sure my gopro footage belongs to me and find something suitable to placate the wife with. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: it would be nice to not have to keep stopping or giving them my bike on the uphill. :poop:
morning ride out around ladybower. Being an idiot i forgot to set the gopro to record going down the beast but i'll just have to do it again next week. :ROFLMAO:
