it was a shit show when I went. Hully gully was shut because of damage and the motor did nothing to help on the technical stuff because it was wet so it just spun the wheel even in tour. I’m afraid I hated that place so much I’ll never go back.
I much prefer easy up and techy down like Dalby 😁
I haven't run into any of that kind of attitude out on the bike but it's really bad online.
I made a comment on instagram about not enjoying Gisburn at all - it's too poorly maintained, too much technical climbing and not enough flowing downhill stuff for me.
Got comments of "should be a piece...
So I've brough a friends AllMtn 6 home with me this week to give it a full service before he goes away end of next week on a biking trip around Italy.
While cleaning the bike I found the entire bearing casing has come out of the carbon rear triangle!
There was no signs of paint cracking as he...
Hope Fortus30 here - they're so good. They have the extra internal strengthening too. I'm sure you'll be happy with them, mine have taken some serious downhill abuse and still perfectly straight
Just had a look at your ebay listing - PRESUMING I go the right listing, but looks like your location
Compared to mine
That 150mm fork you got isn't an e-bike fork. So it wouldn't have had the tune on it for the weight of the bike. Shouldn't have made a massive difference but definitely not...
Yeah as said I had 140mm on mine, converted to 150mm, felt very little difference other than a slightly slacker head angle
No idea what was wrong with the 150 for it to feel "all over the place" but at least you got sorted
Absolutely no issue with this - mine was a 140 front (2020 HPC-SL) and I changed it out for 150mm
As others have said the newer bikes are 140/150, no issues with frame stress or anything. Mine rides nicer downhill now
Wash mine after every ride with a Worx Hydroshot jetwash.
Means I get it nice and clean before loading it in the van - never had an issue
Use your brain and don't point it directly in the bearings, motor, etc.. it's fine
I do know a few friends with other ebikes that's controllers are not very...
Except you’re completely ignoring heat dissapation.
Go slam on the brakes for a few seconds and check the heat. Then trail brake the whole way down and wonder why your brake rotors are blue
The reason you stamp on the brakes before a corner in a race car is 100% to do with heat and nothing to do with engine braking.
The flywheels are so light in those cars you barely get any engine braking.
If you ever drag your rear brake lightly down an entire long downhill section you'll soon...
As has been said - tons of variables
HOWEVER I fell into tubeless means you can run lower pressure, lower pressure means more grip. It's really not that simple
I was running 20 psi and the bike wasn't great, especialy on stuff like Dalby red trail.
I watched a few videos where people said start...
Being a cassette it's not ideal - shifting if it tries to shift as the missing tooth goes by is a disaster
I've left it with the bike shop as they wanted to send pics to Shimano for a warranty claim. I managed to find another online which will be here this week, but a lot of places I checked...
Just as an FYI
I bought a new shimano XT 12 speed cassette two weeks ago and on my first ride a tooth snapped off *grr*
I took it back to the shop who said he's going to contact Shimano about refunding under warranty but when I asked about a replacement he said they were showing the next stock...
I've looked around for these too and couldn't find anything that's right
I kinda wanted to get rid of the green logo and text on my bike, but as it's applied then lacquered over I was going to just buy some cut vinyl stickers to go over the existing ones
I'm sort of toying with the idea of...
I don’t think the speed is much of an issue personally
they’re faster on climbs but slower on decents generally and I don’t usually fall of on climbs 😂
I just see it as if you’re not falling off you’re not pushing. Mines covered in battle scars now
^^
All of the haibaike and trek cracks from what I've seen are more of a design issue. Which is likely caused by not being far into the emtb offering and huge demand meaning some testing is skipped.
Definitely don't see it as a carbon cracks and aluminium doesn't
People think carbon is just...
There's a lot of people bash Bosch for the noisey motors
I've had 2 Gen4's now and it's never bothered me once, yeah they whine when pedalling and they clatter a fair bit when freewheeling down stuff, but the power they give is superb, I love the over-run they do when you're trying to get over...
Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC here - carbon main frame and alloy rear triangle.
I believe I'm a little bit over the weight limit when geared up, have thrown it through everything, including doing some very silly jumps at Leeds Bike Park and Dalby Forest, not a single issue and it's done 1500miles...
