I am sure it's a good bike to ride. However, I would never buy a Pole:
There is basically an entire facebook page dedicated to how bad their customer service is and there seems to be a disproportionate number of failures
It's mind-bendingly ugly (subjective I appreciate)
I would not want to...
I have no horse in this race, but from Google:
"Although a larger area of contact between two surfaces would create a larger source of frictional forces, it also reduces the pressure between the two surfaces for a given force holding them together. Since pressure equals force divided by the...
If your chainring has done 8000km, then I would definitely change it. The SX cassette is all steel, the NX has some aluminium sprockets. For touring use, where weight is not an issue and you just want the best component life, I would probably just stick with SX.
I agree with some of that, but outright power is definitely the most important thing for me. On long, steep descents, more power means less effort, means less hand fatigue, means more confidence. A relative lack of modulation can be overcome with improved technique. That said, I still find...
Good result. I had really good service from the Mill with my Decoy. Also, to be fair, from Silverfish/Fox when the DHX2 shat the bed. Pretty sure the 38 CSU is creaking now, so might be having to test them out again!
I would highly recommend getting the public shuttle (12 euro) from Finale Bikers or Finale outdoor base for at least some of the time. You can get their number online and just WhatsApp them to book. This will get you to Base Nato (or Rollercoaster) where you can then loop trails to your heart's...
"this EWS rider or local hardcore shredder doesn't use/need it, that must mean you don't either!"
This is not what I am saying at all. I only object to the someone stating that if you're fast and 85kg (or whatever other arbitrary weight) that you NEED a 38 mm fork, which just isn't true. I...
It sure didn't! I was in Finale last month and one of the guides rides a Lyrik rather than a Zeb. He says he can really notice the difference in weight. His top times are right up there with the Rudes and Melameds.
Either a faulty lever or user error. I cannot imagine how you would do this. Did you throw it on the ground to turn it over? How would the levers even touch the ground?
