I still ride my normal bike with my mates every weekend. If I had to get rid of one, the e bike is the one that would go. So for me, yes non e bikes still matter.
I've had 3 new bikes that came with Code Rs. Couldn't get any of them to feel good for any length of time. One set was bled twice by me and then by three other shops. No one could get them to feel good, at least not for more than a couple of rides.
I wouldn't have another set.
We share an e bike between us. Just depends on who wants to ride it that day. Mostly fireroad climbs here, so the towing is pretty easy. Hammers the battery though.
There are a few on my youtube (I am not an aspiring youtuber!):

A couple didn't upload correctly and the quality is not 4k (Feed the Pony for sure), but most are in full quality.
Surely it's no more basic than a performance level 38, which I think has the same damper. In fact a Z1 is quite a bit more expensive than a Zeb Select.
I have an Insta 360r. I generally use the "normal" lens for MTB. It seems to work really well when mounted to chin or the top of a helmet. Less so when on a chest mount. Partly I think this is because trails here are often very dark, which impacts the stabilisation.
As others have said, spend some time working on your suspension before throwing money at it. A good setup makes a huge difference. Work at it systematically through bracketing. E-bikes have a big advantage here as it's so much easier to lap a bit of trail.
I got this one (or similar):

My GF and I take turns towing each other. One end around seat post and one end around stem. Towing is hard for about 5 minutes until you both get used to it.
The trails that they race in the valley are never the steep ones though. The EWS course was pretty chill...although obviously I ride those trails at about half the speed as the pros!
There are some very steep and loose trails in the Tweed Valley. Decade and Avalanche, Date Night. There are also plenty of trails which have very steep and tight corners, but aren't so loose. They do however get very slippery!
I can do you a more comprehensive list if you like or even shown you...
