I've just found a neat feature that will be really usefull to people who use Komoot. You can transfer youre planned rides to the Kiox display thus saving battery on your phone. This was always a problem for me as using the phone meant the screen was on all the time.

Installed the new update for Kiox today. Version 3.0.1
Looks pretty much the same but with the added navigation feature, which I havent used yet.
Install was painless, came to ride home from work, turned on the bike and Kiox prompted me there was an update and gave me the option to install now...

The chain is new and so are the jockey wheels. Nothing is rubbing and gear changes are perfect. thought it could be a bent hanger but that seems fine
I have the new one with 50mm travel and zero degree offset. I got it as I recently started suffering with back issues. I can't say for off road use but for the commute its ideal for the pot holes
I'm afraid there a complete waste of money. I've had 2 now and the major flaw in the design is the hammer and spring which arent fit for purpose. you are better off with the Oi Luxe bell which as a different design on the hammer and spring but still maintains the same design...
Yesterday I had a puncture in the middle of a 30 mile ride. removing the kiox so I could get the bike upside down to repair, meant no damage to the display
I have activated the kiox lock function, think it cost about £8. It basically locks the serial number of the Kiox unit to the serial number of the motor. If your bike is stolen and the thief tries a different Kiox on the bike it wont work, I have tried this with a freinds.
