I ride Hamsterley twice a week most weeks, I don’t think they have any dedicated charging stations but a nice cafe worker maybe willing to let you plug in for an hour or so, if they’re open that is, amidst the covid chaos.
Make sure you go up and ride K-line, transmission, accelerator and...
I still have my guide, the shapes bare a good resemblance but aren't exact. I don't think you could use it as an accurate way of replicating it.
Happy to send it over if you wish, however.
Do you know your inside leg measurement? I have my 120mm dropper sticking out the frame around 50mm and it’s in the correct place for pedalling when it’s up, but too high when it’s down and it’s in the way a bit. I figured a 170mm post would be better, but I’m only 6ft...
This was the only trail I managed to get any speed on. The other more technical trails were 6" deep in mud so I was going fairly steady.
Will try harder next time out.
I'm 70kg kitted up, run 25psi front and 27psi rear. Same as my none e-bike. Have tried lower and higher and this is my sweet spot. All down to personal preference though.
I'd say just experiment and see what you like.
I'm very happy with the performance of my SE5's. I've never felt that they're lacking in any way and I've only ever ridden in the wet/mud/snow with them.
Here are a 625 and a 500 lined up, the 625 is from my Rail and the 500 is off the wife’s powerfly.
If you were to buy a spare battery only I don’t think it’d be impossible to swap them over during a coffee and cake stop, I’d imagine it’d take no longer than 20 minutes, bike dependant. Not ideal...
Very useful information. My Large Rail 7 has the 130mm one. Set it to the right height for climbing and it’s not far enough out the way when it’s dropped, nearly been bucked a couple of times because of it. I was going to change to a 170mm ish post but I thought they may have fitted a short one...
What kind of riding are you going to be doing? I had 20 miles of mainly flat riding yesterday 95% of which was over 15mph, only took the battery 20 minutes to recharge. Thinking about it, I shouldn’t have bothered even taking the ebike out should I ?
If it felt right, it’s the right size. Size guides are exactly that - guides. Like a lot of things it’s all down to personal preference. My dad had a ride on my Large Fuel EX and said it felt too big for him and he’s slightly taller than me, but to me it feels just right.
Wait until it comes...
