That is hideous and pointless, a pedal assist bicycle that looks like a scooter and weighs 54kg?!

I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle. I knew it would have driven me mad so I just whipped out the cable and bought an AXS post. I thought that would be kinder to my mental health if not my wallet!

There’s no way that would keep me off the bike (or from using the rear brake). Pads worn down to the metal yes, but the rotors too thin by a f#%*ys hair wouldn’t keep me in on a nice day.

The gap loop from Talybont-on-usk is really good, around half an hour from Merthyr, and the Blorenge near Abergavenny is a good route as well which doesn’t take long but has a great couple of long descents (also around half an hour from Merthyr). I’ve attached the gpx files.

More likely that the better the crank seal is the more resistance it would cause which would lead to a reduction in range. Personally I’d gladly sacrifice a bit of range for a more water resistant motor.

I love my AXS dropper, it’s an expensive luxury but it is so nice, I wouldn’t go back to cable by choice. I just whipped the old cable out and stuffed it in the “shite drawer”

My wife bought her Levo online from Tredz. The TCU developed a fault so I took it to the nearest specialized dealer to us which was Evan’s cycles and they dealt with it with no real dramas. Didn’t have to contact Tredz at all.
