Take up Rock climbing then you’ll experience what real arm pump is!
After around 15 years of climbing I have never had arm pump on a bike, my legs on the other hand go to jelly way sooner than I’d like!
My wife has the same bike in Flo Red and the paint falls off just by looking at it.
I contacted specialized who told me there are no touch up kits available and I should take it to an automotive dealer to see if they can make a close match.
I got some paint for my bike from Whyte no problem...
Yes obviously anything can have problems and you’re only going to read about unsatisfied customers but some have more problems than others.
I have been lucky to have no problems with 4 emtbs so far🤞
However the Rise seems to have multiple problems, replacing frame bearings after a few hundred...
I’ve already read enough bad things to put me off buying an Orbea Rise. Actually I wouldn’t buy anything with a Shimano motor in it.
I hope you get it sorted. It’s really not good enough, especially considering how much these things cost.
I lived in Northumberland for over 25 years and miss it for the quiet and wild countryside up there and the generally friendlier people than down here, also you get a lot more for your money when it comes to houses. I don’t miss the cold at all although it is drier than the West coast.
I...
I find it hard to understand these excessive drivetrain wear threads.
I ride almost exclusively off road and I’m almost always in emtb mode with a bit of turbo for the really steep stuff and I get 600 miles per chain at about £25 each and three chains to a cassette for about £60.
I never...
I used to use a Fidlock on mine which was great. Unfortunately I can’t use it since upgrading my shock to one with a piggyback.
The mounting point is now used to hold essential tools instead.
I also use a dryer, different make to this but same sort of thing.
I’ve had it for years, first bought it to dry the motorbikes and now also use it on our emtbs.
I’m always recommending it to people but they just think I’m nuts and I don’t think the neighbours appreciate the noise of it, I...
Trying the suspension upgrades today on the E160s at Cwncarn forest, new Rockshox ultimate shock and Zeb 2.1 damper upgrade. Great day for it, it's the first time this year that the bike doesn't need to be washed!
Rock climbing has been my main hobby and absolute obsession for almost 15 years. Climbing outdoors whenever the weather allowed and indoors in the winter. Almost every holiday abroad was spent climbing.
Also like riding my motorbike when it’s above 15 degrees and not raining, so maybe 4-5...
My motorbike is definitely not Chinese.
My EMTB on the other hand was built in Taiwan so I guess we’ll get a definitive answer to that one in the coming years.
It's got all the disadvantages of an IC motorbike regarding being very restricted where you can legally ride it plus it's Chinese, so if you do manage to have enough range to ride anywhere to get it off road it'll probably break down in the middle of nowhere. It's a hard pass from me!
I keep my drive train clean and lubed and get around 600 miles from a GX chain before replacing it. I don’t think that’s too bad for £25-£30.
My cassette is now on its third and probably last chain.
I’m not 100% convinced, but it doesn’t matter anyway because there’s no way I’d pay £2k for a drivetrain, especially on an ebike.
Maybe if I was an elite athlete who needs to shave time off their run by shifting under power.
I’d rather use the cheapest AXS derailleur on a cheap cassette...
Am I missing something here?
I thought the point of a derailleur hanger was to protect the frame, it and the derailleur are supposed to bend before the frame does.
Now there is no hanger and the derailleur is super tough. Have we all been using hangers for no reason?!
My wife has a 2022 Levo Alloy Comp in the Flo Red colour and the paint looks like shit after less than 400 miles. It's never been dropped but her knee pads have worn the paint away on the brace behind the shock and it has a few chips on it. In hindsight we should of fitted frame protection...
I’ve got one of those which I use to hold my forks when servicing them and it’s great for that job.
I’ve got a park floor stand to hold the e-bikes, I’m not sure if I’d trust the above wall mount for that.
I couldn’t clamp my wife’s Levo using the standard clamp so got one of these Fiamma Bike-Block Pro D2 for Fiamma Carry-Bike Pro System
Also if the bike is too long to strap the wheel down just turn the handlebars 180 degrees.
Or just buy a van like I did to save the phaff!
