    Temperature Considerations

The ground condition’s also play a big part, there’s a lot more resistance peddling through the thick mud as well as the cold effecting the battery. I done a ride last weekend which I have done before and my battery was flashing to say it’s almost dead as I arrived at the house. I remember...

Levo Gen 2 2021 Turbo Levo Comp motor failed after 220 miles

220 miles on a Levo motor? Is this a bragging post! 🤫🤭

    Bike Rack tow bar

I’d never leave my bike unattended on a bike rack (or anywhere), if a Pikey tried to unload it while I was waiting at traffic lights or something then I’d simply reverse over them!

    What Backpack?

I’ve been using an Osprey Syncro 12 for almost a year and I’m very happy with it. It is held off your back to allow the air to circulate so you don’t get too sweaty. It has a zipped section with separate compartments for your tools and spares and a bigger zipped compartment for a jacket/food. It...

    Shimano LinkGlide Parts Anywhere yet?

I’d expect that wear from an abused hire bike. I can’t see how it’s possible to go through cassettes like that unless you’re changing gear under load.

    wiggle has lost my parcel

I’ve had a couple of issues with them, I paid for next day delivery and it took three days to arrive and another parcel did not arrive at all. They were quick to send me another item out in place of the lost one. It’s because they use Hermes which aren’t the most reliable couriers in the world...

    New products we need

I’ve got no interest at all in listening to music while riding. I guess a kickstand would be handy tho to hold my bike when the wife’s at work.

    What’s your hobby?

My main hobby for over 12 years has been rock climbing, I’ve climbed 100’s of routes on cliffs all over the UK and Europe. Me and my wife hired ebikes on holiday in the Lake District for something to do last September due to all the rain ruining climbing. We became instantly hooked and bought...

New Bosch 2022 Motor System (Bosch Smart System) Announced

I agree, all I would like is a percentage display instead of bars. I’ve got no interest in phaffing about tweaking settings with an app, and while more range is appealing I think 625wh is a good balance of range/weight ratio. If I wanted the odd epic day out then I’d go the whole hog and buy a...

Bike rack for 2017 Toyota Auris Hybrid

Hyundai i20, we got a detachable tow hook fitted. We can get the gear in the car and the hook, rack and bikes on in under 10 minutes.

Bike rack for 2017 Toyota Auris Hybrid

I wouldn’t trust anything other than a tow bar mounted bike rack for two heavy ebikes. I looked into all the options before having our tow bar fitted, it wasn’t cheap but it was worth it for not having to worry at all when transporting them.

    Unanswered Bike stand for maintenance

It was worth doing, it is a lot easier to clamp my mount in the stand and then lift the bike onto it, rather than trying to hold the bike with one hand while trying to close the clamp or extend the stand with the other.

    Unanswered Bike stand for maintenance

I bought a Park tool home mechanic work stand for £130. I wasn’t happy with clamping to the seat post so I cobbled something together on the CNC machine to hold it by the frame.

    Please list your best upgrades

My bell, it’s anything but cool but it seems to be the least offensive way of getting walkers to move over without them going in a huff!

    Trying to decide 150 vs 160 …..??

Being a short arse myself I went for the E160s with the 27.5 wheels. I’ll hopefully be taking it out for the first ride on the weekend.

Tow bar bike racks, what are people using?

Another thumbs up for the Thule easyfold xt. It is expensive but buy once cry once.

BATTERY size, how much is plenty?

I done 21 miles and 2,500 feet of climbing in the Brecon Beacons today. I have a 500wh battery and I still had half of it left at the end, I had no desire to go any further or do another lap. I have a Whyte coming soon with a 625wh battery and I think that will be more than I’ll ever need. I...

    Whyte 2022 160s vs 160rs ……

I think the spec is fine for me for the foreseeable, I think my talent will be the limiting factor for a while yet and not the bike!

    Whyte 2022 160s vs 160rs ……

I had the same choice to make and went for the E160s because of the colour! If I want I can always upgrade the spec to the RS or above in time, if I feel the need. I test rode the 2021 RS at the Forest of Dean last year and it was amazing but I found the green a bit too understated. It’s...

    Regenerative charging on descent

I guess because it would be like riding with the brakes on?
