The ground condition’s also play a big part, there’s a lot more resistance peddling through the thick mud as well as the cold effecting the battery.
I done a ride last weekend which I have done before and my battery was flashing to say it’s almost dead as I arrived at the house. I remember...
I’d never leave my bike unattended on a bike rack (or anywhere), if a Pikey tried to unload it while I was waiting at traffic lights or something then I’d simply reverse over them!
I’ve been using an Osprey Syncro 12 for almost a year and I’m very happy with it. It is held off your back to allow the air to circulate so you don’t get too sweaty.
It has a zipped section with separate compartments for your tools and spares and a bigger zipped compartment for a jacket/food. It...
I’ve had a couple of issues with them, I paid for next day delivery and it took three days to arrive and another parcel did not arrive at all. They were quick to send me another item out in place of the lost one.
It’s because they use Hermes which aren’t the most reliable couriers in the world...
My main hobby for over 12 years has been rock climbing, I’ve climbed 100’s of routes on cliffs all over the UK and Europe.
Me and my wife hired ebikes on holiday in the Lake District for something to do last September due to all the rain ruining climbing. We became instantly hooked and bought...
I agree, all I would like is a percentage display instead of bars.
I’ve got no interest in phaffing about tweaking settings with an app, and while more range is appealing I think 625wh is a good balance of range/weight ratio. If I wanted the odd epic day out then I’d go the whole hog and buy a...
I wouldn’t trust anything other than a tow bar mounted bike rack for two heavy ebikes.
I looked into all the options before having our tow bar fitted, it wasn’t cheap but it was worth it for not having to worry at all when transporting them.
It was worth doing, it is a lot easier to clamp my mount in the stand and then lift the bike onto it, rather than trying to hold the bike with one hand while trying to close the clamp or extend the stand with the other.
I bought a Park tool home mechanic work stand for £130. I wasn’t happy with clamping to the seat post so I cobbled something together on the CNC machine to hold it by the frame.
I done 21 miles and 2,500 feet of climbing in the Brecon Beacons today. I have a 500wh battery and I still had half of it left at the end, I had no desire to go any further or do another lap.
I have a Whyte coming soon with a 625wh battery and I think that will be more than I’ll ever need.
I...
I had the same choice to make and went for the E160s because of the colour!
If I want I can always upgrade the spec to the RS or above in time, if I feel the need.
I test rode the 2021 RS at the Forest of Dean last year and it was amazing but I found the green a bit too understated.
It’s...
