That's not really apples Vs apples. 140mm Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork, 540wh battery, EP6 motor, Shimano MT201 brakes, Deore transmission, Alloy Frame.
These are all fairly low end components, compared with the Amflow.
For me. It's not about the extra power the Amflow gives you. It's the extra momentum when climbing.
Watch Rob in that comparison video. He is moving up that hill so much faster on the Amflow. So you can carry over any obstacles so much easier.
The more speed you can carry uphill. The greater...
I had BB7s on an ebike. That's how I recognised them. I think you'd be shocked how much quicker hydraulics stop you. Much shorter stopping distance. Even a set of Shimano MT200's. On ebay would only be less than $100.
As long as you are content, but I did learn the hard way, when a car turned...
That thing would be a weapon. Needs hydraulic 4 pots all round. And bigger rotors.
Those cable Sram BB7s are not the right tool for the job, IMO.
Awesome bike. But definitely look at the stopping power.
The thread on this forum said they were good chain rings, so I bought one. Do you want me to offer the seller more money ? 😜
https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/36t-chainring-recommendation.8667/
BTW. the bike was only £2,986. (AUD$5800). Maybe I need to give them more money too ......:ROFLMAO:
MOTSUV 32T chainring, to replace the 34T Shimano chainring. 20 times less expensive at AUD$5. There is a thread about them on this forum. The reports are good. I'll report on my experience.
At five bucks, I'll change the chain ring everytime I replace the chain.
There are probably lots of ways to get it to pop back in. I guess it's just a case of realigning the servo motor position, and the derailleur position, so it can click back in. (y)
The safety release in the derailleur has released.
Put the bike on a stand. Select 12th gear on the display. With your hand, move the chain to the 12th cog on the cassette. Wiggle the derailleur around a bit, and the safety release should click back in.
The function of the safety release is to...
Went and stayed at the Park Hyatt in Canberra and cycled the Centenary Trail. Both the stay and ride was wonderful.
High Tea with the wildlife ...... :ROFLMAO:
The hotel was extremely pretty.
More wildlife on the trails
Not sure I agree with that. My son lives in Seattle and has ebikes. I've read several stories about why Ebikes are not allowed where bicycles are allowed in the US. Most mention "Unruly speed" as an objection. Including stories from Utah and Moab.
"While the topic of e-bikes might raise some...
Anywhere a MTB is allowed in Australia, an EMTB is allowed. This is 100% to do with the 15mph limiter legislated on EMTB motors. This would definitely not be the case if 32mph was allowed. So to quote P Slim :
If you say that the "state of well-deserved paranoia" EBikes have in the US, whilst...
The problem you have is the higher speed limits allowed on EBikes in the US. It's why I advocate that in Australia, the 15mph limit is maintained.
Whilst I 100% disagree with the limit. It reduces the argument to ban EMTBs from MTB trails. Which is far more important. 15mph is better than ZERO...
600km on my EP600. I have never heard the rattle. Maybe I'm just not listening for it.
Love the motor. But can't wait for it to break, so I can upgrade to the EP801. :ROFLMAO: I want the new features in the 4.3 firmware upgrade. I want the extra 100 watts of power.
That said. I am so...
