The important factor is how much power your charger draws, and how much power the Portable Power Station can put out.
It says it can output 1500 Watts. So as long as your charger doesn't draw more than about 1200 Watts. You should be fine.
I have the same bike in red. My mate test rode my bike and bought the exact same one as you.
I have had mine de-restricted to 50kph using the EMax software. I've also added XT Di2 electronic transmission, as well as some sky blue accent trims. I have new sky blue graphics coming to replace the...
Free Shift and Auto Shift are handy when you are on a cruisy ride. But when you riding technical terrain, you really want to choose the gear yourself. So not really a huge bonus.
But where the Di2 is really beneficial is the shifting while you are coasting. You can shift in situations where...
I wanted a Shimano EP600 or EP801, combined with a Shimano 630Wh battery, so I could add Shimano Di2 shifting for Free Shift and Auto Shift. I can get Shimano spares pretty cheaply from lots of stores nearby.
Settled on the Merida e160 700 and the EP600 motor mostly due to price, and feel of...
I have only looked at this in the Shimano ETube phone app. The button to download firmware to the motor, only appears when there is a new firmware to install. Perhaps this is different with the Windows App. I'll check it out.
I have checked with EMax. They definitely said you cannot roll back...
Shimano EP6 and EP801 can be safely de-restricted to 50kph with the EMax software. My EP6 has been de-restricted for 4 months and I have out 300km on it.
I rarely use the extra speed as I mostly ride on single track. But when I'm riding in a Bike Park with jumps, it's an absolute must. There...
This is only allowed in NZ, because NZ does not have a 25kph speed limit for ebikes. Australia is like the EU. 25kph limit, so legally Shimano must meet this mandate.
I do remember seeing a light wattage setting in the EMax software. Not sure what happens if you exceed this, or if it's just used to calculate the impact of the light on the bikes range, as the shimano software does do range calcs dependant on power mode.
BTW. I find the included light awesome.
Shimano doesn't allow Firmware roll back, or even re-installing the same version. So you would need to put EMax's 4.3 firmware patch when they release it. Then hope Shimano release a new firmware, before you need a warranty repair.
That said. You can put the speed limit back to 25kph with the...
I've done it. It works. You need :
1) SM-PCE02 interface cable and a Windows based computer.
2) Etube Project for Windows to install the USB driver for the SM-PCE02 interface cable
3) MiniMax 2.5 from EMax and pay the 119 Euro for a license.
Follow the directions you get from EMax. It's very...
If the 630Wh Shimano battery fits in the downtube. You would need a way to fasten the top mount and bottom mount to the bike's downtube.
You could permanently mount the top mount then still slide the battery in and fasten the bottom mount. So not something I would want to do to a new bike. But...
Unfortunately you'd need to do the battery as well. E8000 battery is not compatible with the EP801, or EP600. But as I said. At least there is an upgrade path.
Once again, Harsh ..... But True. Buying a bike with such a specialised battery would have been a red flag to me, because long term serviceability was important to me. I specifically excluded bikes in my ebike search, that didn't have motor and standard battery from the same big company...
Battery mounts can be changed. Motors just require the same bolt pattern. There are adapter kits for Bafang motors to fit both Shimano and Bosch motor mounts.
I went with all Shimano Electronics. I can get the Shimano batteries from so many suppliers in Australia. And the EP801 motor fits motor...
The cable from the motor would currently go to the EN-600-L switch. The SC-EN600 display has 3 ports on it. So when you install it. You re-route the cable from the motor to the SC-EN600 display. Then from one of the 2 remaining ports. You run a new cable to the EN-600-L switch.
So to do the...
Regarding the Squirt results. They also found this in video reviews. You need to do 2 applications of Squirt to get good penetration. And you must let Squirt dry properly between applications and before use. Only then will you get the really low wear rates. This really isn't said in the...
4 pot pads normally have more surface area to contact the rotor, thus produce more friction and thus braking. Larger pads will also dissipate heat quicker.
Do not use 2 pot levers on 4 pot calipers. The oil volumes pumped when you squeeze the lever, is matched between lever and caliper...
Absolutely.
It sounds like there are many lubes that perform well. And all of them seem to be low input, high result, from using them.
I'm a bit of a drivetrain perfectionist. Hence why I went to the combined Shimano motor and Di2 Electronic Shifting setup. The shifting is real nice. So...
