Knee/Elbow Pads - User Habits not Which Ones

I am sooooo glad I’m part of such an amazing community of like-minded athletic intellectuals. Google knows nothing! I now know: 1. Don’t crash a lot 2. If you do crash a lot, proceed to 3 3. Wear knee pads or elbow pads 4. Or don’t 5. Or choose a combination, it doesn’t matter 6. Spine...

Knee/Elbow Pads - User Habits not Which Ones

And what about wearing the knee/elbow pads with a variety of clothing? In the UK it’ll be under a jacket some of the time, and then optimistically with just a t-shirt for 1 day a year ?

I guess another view is what mood you're in, Vs who you're with and what/where you're riding. A solo XC ride is likely to be made safer by knowing you're on your own, so playing it safer, Vs a full on battery-mashing with friends at a trail centre.

Knee/Elbow Pads - User Habits not Which Ones

Thanks all so far. So knee pads are coming out as the ones to wear if nothing else... I must admit, in my head, all I can foresee is my front wheel washing out and going down on my arm, and this is skewing my view I think. I can't see me being bothered with both all the time. I rarely fall...

To those that wear knee and/or elbow pads... and i guess this comes from a position of general riding rather than anything extreme or DH focused. Do you wear knees/elbows or both, and how/why did you choose one or the other if you don't wear both? Curious that's all. Lot's riders on Youtube...

    2019 Levo Fix/Mods List

Hi All Is there a consolidated list of all the manufacturer recommended fixes/upgrades to a 2019 Levo? I think I've suffered a power cable failure, and when I go to the bike shop want to ask for any other fixes to be applied. I've heard about - power cables, pivot mud guards, dropper posts...

    OS Maps on Garmin

Any comments/experience on people using Openmtbmap.org - Mountainbike and Hiking Maps based on Openstreetmap on Garmin (I've get an Edge 1030) for OS mapping? Are there any "Go-to" sources for OS mapping on Garmins? If needs be I'll purchase maps from Garmin, but i'd rather save the cash. Thanks

    The Gap - Brecon Beacons

I did The Gap ride over ten years ago on my old skool MTB. My favourite aspect after the fact it was a great ride is that in Welsh it’s Fan y Big..... The Gap. The school boy in still find that hilarious!!
