As a returning MTBer am loving the dropper having never had one, and wouldn’t be without now!
I have previously used TF Tuned in the UK to tube rear shocks. I wonder if the stock Fox on the Levo is tweakable?
I’ve been a loyal customer of Hope for a LONG time, but don’t see anything they offer as a “no-brainer” upgrade over what I’ve got, unless you NEED coloured parts!!
On a road bike, the no-brainer upgrade in terms of benefit vs cost is a wheel upgrade.
I don’t think such an upgrade exists for eMTB assuming you’ve started with a half decent bike. If there is please tell me.
Tyres (and indeed running tubeless) are a personal preference. Motors/batteries...
I might have a go on the beach when the sand is hard packed. Ashton Gdns has some good little slopes and skills bits, St Annes front near the lifeboat station has some lumps, bumps and trials bits too that are fun for a few minutes. There's a surprising amount of non-road or non-tarmac sections...
BMX track at Park View in Lytham. I’ve only lived here ~15 years so not sure if it used to be elsewhere?
It’s flat and boring but there’s a load of off-road trails round and about for daily excercise. I reckon I could do 10-15 miles locally almost entirely off-road
I rode by St Annes Old Links and noted it would be all to easy just to ride onto the course! Tempted as I was, my luck says I’d get busted!!
The beach is indeed huge. I used to fly power kites there but it’s no place for a bike. Sand, chain, no thanks!!!!
Witch Wood is still there and one of my...
Seeking out anything local to my town in Lytham St Annes (UK) that is off-road. Managed a nice couple of miles along the rocky beach with Southport over the water.
So if Brose/Specialized aren't used to UK weather and rider habits that's kinda their problem. If the external ports on the motor are where moisture enters, and none of us use these ports, there must be a recommended simple way of sealing them up? Silicone sealant?
The first set that didn't last 5 minutes were the SRAM ones that came on the bike - not sure if they were sintered or organic. Replaced with Nukeproof sintered, and they're worse!!
Hi All
Just a query. I know to expect faster brake pad wear on an eMTB due to the extra speed and weight involved but have gone through 2 sets of rears, and a set of fronts in 270 miles. Admittedly these have been atrocious UK wet and gritty miles. Is that inline with other people’s experience...
