I did worry for a second what ppl would think, but once I got one I've had friends and family ride it and they now want to get one. Even my Dad who hasn't road a bicycle in 30 years wants one.
I still ride my road bike and regular mountain bikes. But on days it's super windy, where I'd normally...
I'm not sure I've seen anyone do this but maybe due to the size of a car GPS.
The largest GPS unit I've seen ppl use on their bike is a Garmin Oregon.
Otherwise Garmin makes cycle specific GPS units that might be better geared towards MTB. Take a look at their website.
I would do some reading up on cycle training and look into heart rate zone training and get a Garmin Edge 500. That way you can monitor and track your effort. It doesn't matter what bike you ride, just the amount of effort you're putting into riding - which a heart rate monitor is a cheap way of...
I shied away from 12 speed due to the cassette replacement cost.
11-42t should be *enough* for people but if you have the money, the added gear of 12 speed is just a bonus. Oh and 12 speed oil slick chains and cassettes look p.i.m.p.
The trails where i'm located are super buffed so the roll over advantage isn't an issue. I actually prefer 26" but since they don't really make those anymore 27.5 is a close second.
Somewhere on YouTube there is an interview with one of Shimano's designers or something where he talks about their eBike development starting before the Levo came out in 2013. I think he said they started designing their first eBike system in 2009 or 2010 - they had an idea way back then that...
Once someone like Shimano comes out with something, they have to support it for a very long time... You can still buy 7 and 8 speed Shimano derailluers and cassettes, octolink bottom brackets and square taper BB's.
Just what i've been observing over the last 15 years, once a major company...
When I originally put a deposit down on a '19 Levo I specifically asked for them to swap out 29 for 27.5+ and they agreed to do it no cost. I hope 27.5 doesn't go away. It's a size I find more enjoyable to ride regardless of any roll over advantage 29 has. I'm always about fun factor

You want a minimum 400watt pure sine wave inverter if you're charging 1 battery at a time. Double the wattage if you plan on charging 2 at the same time. Going a bit higher wattage is good. I went with this 600watt inverter. Just make sure you locate it as close to your battery as possible...
How often are you riding per week?
Hand fatigue (or forearm pump) is one of the things i struggled with when i first started mountain biking. Grip endurance is one of those things that goes away the more you ride. Try stretching out those forearm muscles to lengthen the muscle fibers - it...
Shin bites will happen. If you're looking for low profile, get 7iDP Control Ankle Protectors. Tons of options for shin guards as well. Longer socks might help too. Better than nothing.
