4amp is considered very safe. I know my Shimano battery doesn't even feel warm when charging at 4amps. If we had smarter chargers, it's actually more critical to pay attention to the voltage you charge to... I believe one electric auto-manufacture cuts off charging at 93% of a full charge to...
My limiter is at 30kph (US) and if i take it past 20mph and then coast, i don't feel any drag from the motor... just normal wind resistance and tire rolling resistance. This is on tarmac mind you...
Does derestricting actually void the warranty if it's a Badassbox? It would be lame... I thought i heard Shimano tested their motors and batteries without any restriction and their e9000 system can handle much more than the 250watts that it's de-tuned down to.
I've actually hit a heat limiter riding fully in boost mode, accelerating hard and cruising around at 26-28mph for about 1/2 hour. It's nice to have a heat limiter so that you don't wreck things. I'm not too worried but YRMV. I dont advocate this but if it breaks, whatever.
I bet you could run a 170mm OneUp post in place of a 125mm WU. That WU has a gigantic stack height from the bottom of the collar to the seat rails. I'd love to see Specialized commission OneUp to do a 34.9mm post on all their non-WU-equiped bikes but I wont hold my breath for it
I should mention he was specific about it having the new motor too. Maybe Specailized with announce it in July but it won't hit dealers until September. Either way, it will be exciting to see a new Kenevo
I think you're dealing with an extremely wide spectrum of buyers... riders who's weigh from 100lbs to 300+lbs... beginners to extreme free-ride professionals or former professional DH riders... dry dusty conditions to wet, mud soaked conditions, ext., extreme cold to 120 degree desert heat...
That's crazy! But not surprising.
KMC announced earlier this year that they are coming to market with an E specific chain and through testing it's supposed to have greater burst strength - no mention of wear resistance, just greater burst strengrh
I've run both Manic and OneUp and can say the Manic is a very good dropper. The only nock against it compared to the oneup is the travel isn't adjustable, stack height isn't as short and insert depth is a bit more... but operationally it's every bit as smooth and good. OneUp is just so...
Molotow slider light orange with Rustoleum Protective Enamel Gloss Crystal Clear top coat is a pretty close color match
No idea how this will hold up on a coil spring, but ill update once i get some miles on it.
Might do some funky air brushing on the battery case later
Dealer support is overrated... Go with the best fitting and handling bike. Everything you need to learn about wrenching on your bike will be on YouTube or a forum
