I don't have much to add other then the fact that I use this website when I'm considering making changes or considering mulleting one of my bikes. Bike Geometry Calculator - MAD SCIENTIST MTB - Bike Geometry Calculators
One interesting bit on this, is that orbea does not change their geometry...
Kinda sorta. Photo was taken at 4 corners, but I climbed up harding and then went down Joplin.
I did the tune on the float X myself using the off the shelf tunes that Fox has and then re-charged it with nitrogen at my LBS. I find that the medium rebound tune is too heavy for this bike and I...
not to be nit picky... but since other people will be reading this and trying to get info from it... the hardware on the rise is m8 and thus, the most aggressive offset bushing you can get for it is 2mm. Meaning, the shortest possible eye to eye configuration you can get an 8.5x2.5 (216x63) is...
I'm reasonably sure that the X2 will hit the bottom of the top tube at bottom out. FWIW, this frame flexes A LOT if you are a hard charging rider. I would not count on close tolerances and clearances staying close under extreme pressure/bottom out.
My (re)build of my XL M20 is pretty much complete. I'm waiting on some new fork and wheel decals, but other then that is pretty much there.
High Points:
-45lbs ready to ride as pictured
-36 Factory @160mm with Vorsprung Luftkappe
-210x55 - Fox Float X with custom tune
-Code RSC brakes with...
2 pounds on one wheel alone is a head scratcher. tubes are about 200g, but 4oz of sealant is 100g... so there is only a 100g savings there. the hellcat is about 150g heavier then the 2.4 dissector. So between the tire/tube/sealant that all washes out. SC reserve 30's are not actually very...
What size frame? I just cross posted in the m20 wheel upgrade thread, but the stock wheels are 2,315g A half decent wheel upgrade takes 400g off of that, and a good wheel upgrade takes 500-600g off quick.
I use the evoc frame pack in small size on my XL. I feel like I could actually fit the medium sized one and I think I'm going to order one to give it a shot. It's big enough to carry a tube, stans dart, 2 co2 canisters a small section of chain and my wolftooth 8 bit pliers.
I checked my e13 cranks that came stock on my m20 before every ride initially. Then I started checking them every ride. Welp... it didn't take long before the bike spit out a crank arm after only going 2 rides without checking them in the middle of a ride of course. My LBS warrantied them and...
Fwiw, I have a very expensive m10 build in XL. with a cushcore XC, ex511/dt350 wheelset and EXO+ assguy/dhr2 it's at 45lbs. I'd expect your build to come in around 46+ without the berd spoked wheels. My buddy has an H15 in Large and bone stock his was just over 45lbs with the dissector and...
If only there was some magical network of wires, that connected everything, and then like, a plug standard that every computer had. So you could just hook up your bike to your computer, and have some one in another part of the world, login, check it, and update it.
Imagine what sort of...
As a data point... I updated my m20 rise via the etube app 2 weeks ago, and it still shows the 60nm max torque, and the orbea, garmin rs toolbox data still shows a max assist of 80%... which correlates to 60nm. I had no issues with the update.

Nice to meet you Rod. I was indeed on the white rise and got to cocktail rock shortly after your group. I was with my buddy whom was riding a real mountain bike (heh), I had planned to ride one of my pedal bikes but I blasted my back and I'm still in recovery mode. (I had an accident years ago...
I have seen this happen on a few different bikes over the years that side load the shock as they compress it (mostly yoke driven bikes)... most notably, specialized stumpjumpers. It's likely obvious, but it happens because the shock goes under a great deal of bending force towards bottom out...
