25km is shit for my local trails. The government want to ban combustion engines but is doing very little to promote alternative transportation, other then restrictive regulations.
Most proficient cyclists commuting will average over 25km while on the move, having an eBike will help you go...
Most of the new bikes don’t bring much more to the table, the SL is really the only significant step over the past few years, but I’m not a Specilized fan.
I still can’t find many better value bikes than my Fox Factory and XT equipped Meta Power for 4K, certainly not any that I’ll have more...
It’s largely a vanity parade, we’re all guilty of it to some extent. We don’t need the marginal gains offered by these high end bikes (although we do a good job of convincing each other we do) and we’re certainly not going to have any more fun on them, but shiny exclusive stuff makes us feel...
I ride my 13kg MTB more than my 22kg eBike so appreciate weight makes a difference, but after trying a few 19kg eBikes, it really doesn’t bother me much.
Anyway, I’m not knocking them for making what appears to be a great bike, just all the unnecessary hype that seems to go with it. They are a...
Just give you’re hard earned money to another manufacturer. They all have their issues to be fair, but out of a large group of regular riding buddies it’s always the Specilized owners missing rides due to faults.
It does seem like Specilized have somehow turned a couple of KG saving, though a smaller battery, motor and noodle forks, into a technological revolution. The power of marketing?
Fair enough, I can see why you feel a little put out at the very least. I didn’t go the Levo route for that reason, but now I’ve said that my e8000 is bound to pack up on the next ride ?
Depends on what you mean by better. I’ve noticed a large number of riders getting back into (e)MTB who gain confidence riding a heavier, more stable and predictable bike, that’s probably better for them.
I still ride my trail/enduro bike most of the time, not sure it’s better, okay yes it’s...
Bike looks wicked, great to see them push the boundaries and take things a step further.
Not sure what Levo and Kenevo owners expected, surely most of you did your research and knew what you were buying at the time... We usually have to compromise with most things, the new SL is less powerful...
Running SRAM XO1 12 speed on my E8000 equipped bike, it’s been fantastic. Getting similar wear to my 11 speed analog bike for some reason!
I don’t have a problem switching between single shifting, in fact the single shifter has probably improved my efficiency as I’m thinking ahead rather than...
I guess if you have big climbs and big descents you can get away with it.
Lots of short sharp climbs around me so I couldn’t be without one, and no way you can do decent sized jumps with a post up! Also, I find the having a motor means my post spends more time down than up ?
Corrected for you.
Why have taken it upon yourself to wage a war against a bicycle wheel size, go focus your energy somewhere else?
You do realise that all those brands you’ve listed make 29er enduro bikes???
Norco Range, Pivot Firebird 29, Rocky Mountain Slayer and G-170 29er.
