It’s pretty common here in the UK too, my local Mercedes dealer only has 4 techs. My wife’s GLE needed a software update, should have taken about 45mins total. We had an appointment at 1PM but didn’t get the thing back until 5PM! The service manager told me he only had 2 of his 4 techs show up...
We had the same issues with my wife, she’s 5’ and roughly the same weight. I ended up buying her the trail runners vest from EVOC. It’s more compact than a trail backpack and still holds 1.5l of water, I’ve worn it a few times and I actually prefer it over my hip pack...
Push told me to go with the 475lb spring, TF tuned said the 400lb. I’ve got a 450lb ordered now, should put me where I want to be but we’ll see. I’m still away on a golf holiday so won’t be back home for another week anyway.
I am, still messing around with spring weights though. The spring Push recommended was too stiff, the spring that TF tuned recommended was too soft🤣😂 I’m waiting on a new spring now. Can’t really give any real feedback until I get the spring issue sorted.
Of you’re going all out on colours I would try to buy from the same company if possible, preferably from the same anodising batch. You’ll end up with 10 different shade of the same “colour”.
There were a few bikes spotted at Eurobike with the new motor, EMBN showed a few of them. They were mostly from brands that aren’t very well known though, other than that I’ve seen pics of the new Crestline floating around. I’m sure we’ll see more don’t though, a lot of gen 4 bikes are on sale now.
The whole industry is doing everything they can to run their inventory levels into the ground so they can induce a controlled shortage to get prices back up to where they need them to be. My mate owns one of the biggest shops in town where I’m originally from, he was giving me the low down. He...
My local Trek dealer is supposed to be getting a medium 9.9 in on the 11th. I’ll be in St. Andrews on a golf holiday with my father-in-law but plan on checking it out when I get back if it doesn’t sell. The only mid-powered bike I’ve ridden was a Levo SL 1 so that’s all I have to go off of.
The used EV car world is taking a dump. I was in the Porsche dealer last week picking up some parts, they have a new Taycan Turbo on the showroom floor for £35k off. I chatted with the salesman for a few, he’s a “tell it like it is” type of guy. He said the used prices of the Taycan have dropped...
I mostly buy my bikes from my buddy, he sells to me at his cost or his cost+10% depending on what it is. I used to be able to build a $10-12k bike for $4-5k then sell it at the end of the season and break even. I did this for years….its not even feasible to do it anymore. I still buy my bikes...
I don’t treat my e-bike any different from my regular bikes, they get washed and lubed after every muddy ride. I even use a pressure washer😱😱 albeit it on low pressure. My levo has about 800 Scottish miles on it currently and I’ve had no problems out of it. The warranty does end next month...
My mate has had one on his for a few months now, he keeps saying it’s the best shock he’s used🤣😂. He got the Levo specific tuned one from TF tuned, only thing he’s done to it was remove one of the tokens as it came with 4 installed.
Edit: FWIW, it’s the shock that I wanted to use but it...
Bikecomponents.de is the official supplier of TrickStuff now, they show the Direttissima, Maxima and Piccolla in stock. I tried to order some a few years back when Trickstuff was the only place that sold them, I was originally told 6 months but that turned into 18 months so I canceled the...
I’ve ran both, the 160 cascade link was a huge improvement over the stock set-up but the long link kit is a huge improvement over that. You may or may not be able to use certain shocks though, neither of my first 2 choices would fit without hitting the frame. I would say you could recoup a...
No idea, the calipers do look like the same though. I kept having to reset the pistons, I’d get a few rides in before the rubbing issues would start again. I just got tired of dealing with it and bought the new brakes.
Edit: I’m using the Hope HD rotors that are 2.3mm thick, if you’re using the...
I thought it was good to go, that lasted about a week or so of riding. I ended up having all kinds of issues with the Codes with these rotors. I got tired of dealing with it and upgraded to Hope T4 V4s, the codes are in my parts bin🤣😂
I want a Crestline but it’s basically impossible to buy one. The way they do their “drops” is annoying. It reminds me of the kids and their sneakers, waiting in line for days to buy the next AF1s.
