That GX derailluer is fine, there’s no issues with that one. The battery is horizontal on the GX transmission stuff, water can’t escape and it corrodes the pins. The video that was posted was about the transmission, not the older AXS eagle stuff. Honestly I prefer the AXS eagle stuff, it shifts...
For me it was worth it, I won’t ever go back to anything with cables because I can’t stand the rats nest of cables that you’d have otherwise. Shimano is releasing a wireless setup soon so they’ll be more options than just SRAM.
This is a common issue with the GX derailleur, the battery sits flat on the pogo pins so any water that gets in there doesn’t drain away and eventually corrodes the pogo pins. SRAM has been replacing them under warranty for original owners for a while now. My mate has been buying up “broken” GX...
My Levo with the cascade long link and a 170 fork has been one of the funnest bikes I’ve owned. I really hope Spesh goes the longer travel route but we’ll have to wait and see….however long that is. It would make sense as they’ve discontinued the full fat Kenevo, they need a longish travel bike...
I was getting bad arm pump using them, tried all different positions and it didn’t make a difference. The arm pump went away as soon as I put the Hopes back on so it was definitely something with the brakes. Luckily I got them at cost and had the ultimate kit before it was available in the UK, I...
My current favourite is the Hope T4V4 with the vented rotors, I’ve had them on my Levo for about 6 months now. I tried the Maven ultimates for about a week and the Hopes went right back on. I have a mixture of brakes though; Code RSCs on 2 bikes, Magura MT7s on 2 bikes and Shimano XTs on the...
I swapped to the e-bars on my Levo, mainly because I wanted to hide the cable to the bar controller. It wouldn’t work, the cable routing hole was too small. I wasn’t told that when I bought them and had already cut them down so I couldn’t return them. I can tell a slight difference with the...
Most of my riding buddies bought their bikes through the cycle to work scheme, not really sure how much money it’s actually saved them though.
I had never heard of anyone financing a bike until I moved to the UK, I didn’t even know that was a thing you could do🤣😂 I mean I get it here when the...
I’ve been waiting on this bike for a bit now, basically ever since a little bird told me Pivot was switching to Bosch. I like everything about the bike, it looks awesome…..minus the boneheaded decision to not use the Gen 5 motor/battery. I don’t get it, the Shuttle AM is even in Bosch’s release...
I’m extremely familiar with the setup procedures, I have 3 other bikes with XO transmissions that I’ve installed. They all shift perfect, it’s only the Levo that I’ve had issues with. The other bikes are 55mm chainlines which the T-type was designed for, the Levo is a 52mm chainline so I thought...
DT350s, basically I just swapped the factory XO cassette for the T-Type XO cassette. I would have probably never noticed it if I hadn’t of been trying to sort the shifting out and actually torqued the axle to spec instead of just snugging it down like normal.
I don’t remember the part number but it was the e-bike kit with the 104bcd chainring. I haven’t been able to ride so I’ve been tinkering with the bike to pass time, I’ve noticed now that if I torque my axle to 15nm the rear wheel won’t turn at all. I’ve never really used a torque wrench on my...
It’s a Spesh gen 3 Levo Pro. The bike specific setup says position B and 118 links for a 36t chainring.
The manual set up based on chainstay length says position A with a 120 links for a 36t chainring.
I just want it to shift better, it’s perfect in the middle of the cassette but it gets...
Has anyone went with the manual settings instead of the bike specific settings when setting up your transmission? I‘ve had my XO setup on my Levo for about 10 months now but have never been really happy with the way it shifts and the noise. I was chatting with a mechanic at one of the local bike...
I wouldn’t bother unless you want to lose a ton of money. My mate has a 2023 Levo Pro that maybe has 150miles on it, he’s down to £5k and still can’t sell it. There’s brand new ones for £6-6500 depending on where you look. The used market is terrible thanks to all the new bike discounts right now.
I just picked up the new Schwalbe Albert radials, I’ll give them a go when I can actually get on the bike again. I want to compare them to my normal Assegai/DHR2 combo. All the reviews have said they have tons of grip so we’ll see.
TF Tuned has a pretty decent spring calculator on their site, it should get you in the ballpark. I ended up going between what their calculator and the Push spring calculator came up with after trying all 3 weights.
I’m at 28-30%, it’s kind of hard to measure on a coil. I weigh 72kg geared up and settled on a 425lb spring, I tried a 400lb and a 450lb one was too soft for liking and the other was too stiff.
