Looking foward to receiving mine ( in the air as we speak ), should be a bit of another learning experience I would suspect, but then what else would we do on a wintry night but research and learn about things.
Could it be 40.74V and the programmer hasn't displayed the decimal point in the correct place.
Zimmer, there is certain amount of "karma" going on here ;)
Another question. When testing off the bike, as in motor, wiring loom, display on the bench, do you also need to have the speed sensor connected ? Its the one thing I haven't yet taken off the bike.
Most manufacturers recommend not to stress the cells too much when they are very cold, it can shorten their max charging life somewhat. But then we probably will not ever do more than the 5 - 10 K of cycles they recommend as full expected lifespan, so does it really matter if we do shorten the...
If you have already purchased the batteries then there is only one way to find out whether the cold will have an adverse effect, go ride.
My guess would be that if you are starting from a warm battery then you should be fine. The only real issue will be is when you stop off for a long lunch...
Its going to be tight when you initially use the bike but do remember as the batteries are begun to be used, they do generate some heat and will soon be up to a useable working temperature.
From experience when a battery is at these limits, it maybe better to choose a different type, remember...
Mmmm no LED light. All the wiring loom seems OK as in continuity ( except 1 pin which I'm presuming is the 6V light, my loom hasn't a light output ) and I have a new DZ41 display, new buttons but not the DPC242 display to test with.
OK how can I test the connector betwen the loom and motor...
Guys, my M600 suddenly switched off and is effectively dead, checked all the wiring connectors and wiring loom for continuity, replaced like for like both on buttons and display all to what it would appear no faults. Checked the internal fuse and that checks out with max volts reducing to 3.5...
Yes they are incrediably good value for money if the riding conditions are suitable. We had at one stage 6 of us riding our converted mtbs and did many 1000's of miles between us. But and heres the big but. They are prone to water ingress due to the way the seals operate.
In the UK we ride...
Yup have to say chipping the blue gear teeth have been self inflicted, twice trying to lift the front wheel up two steps onto a canal bridge from an almost 90 degree approach, just getting the timing of the lift wrong and the other was whilst crossing a fallen tree’s branches, again the front...
There is a substrate of glass fibres in a specialist cloth that is used not as a filler as being described, but as a spacer to give width between the outer and inner carbon layers, which makes the structure significantly stronger and lighter than solid carbon.
Most aircraft composite...
You should try the 36volt motor running it on 52 volts setup. Really puts the whole package into a bit of a sweet spot in both cadence and torque. Also allows another 8 cells in the battery which puts the battery into the very useable 450Wh power to weight nice bracket. The 48 volt motor doesn’t...
