I bought a 2021 Husqvarna HC7. It has the stock shimano E5000 non-blue tooth display. I want to convert to the SC-E8000 display, but need to know what wiring I will need to do this.
Oh..No problem. I am still wondering about the proper wiring though. I am sure the new display will have to have different wiring to the motor for the Blue Tooth and the custom mapping ability.
I have a 2021 Husqvarna HC7 with the Shimano EP8 motor and crappy non-blue tooth E5000 display. I want to convert to the SC-E8000 display that has the color screen and blue tooth capability. My question is...when I order the new display, do I also need to order a new wire harness to go to the...
In some areas... even in certain states in the US here, any bike with a motor is considered a "powered" bike or vehicle and not allowed on public trails. At least that's my understanding.
You want to see full on emtb haters? Go over to Vitalmtb forums. These numb nuts will say emtb's suck because you don't earn your ride when being assisted by a motor...it's not natural, organic riding. These guys are friggin looney tunes. These EXACT same emtb haters are the ones who will take a...
That many rocks still looks awesome though. I am kind of lucky...within 30 minutes of where I live I must have 8-9 places I can ride. All woods...all single track. My main riding place is literally 6 minutes from my house.
I have knee pads and shin guards that have never been used. I am thinking I am missing a lot of fun. A rock garden where I ride is like 50" of rocks in the trail. At John Muir trails, there is a fair amount of rock garden, but nothing like what you guys must ride. Very sporadic.
I can say with 100% certainty that I have never had a problem with paint chips. My Trek is over 1 year old and literally I have zero paint chips. Not even a scratch in the paint...anywhere. Where are you guys riding...rock quarries??? I must be spoiled with the woods riding. Just never get any...
Thanks guys. The bike rides great. As for rock hits, I covered the downtube in 3 layers of clear tape to protect it as much as possible. I do this to all my bikes. Around the mid west here, there is very little as far as rock hits from the single tracks since it's mostly woods riding. I've never...
My HC7 arrived on Sunday. I unboxed her, put her together...so far after one ride, it seems like a great choice. I need to upgrade the display to the 8000 so I can blue tooth a better custom motor set up though. The 3 stock motor programs are not good. Suspension is great. Overall, very pleased.
Is there anything better than picking out a new bike, finding out it is REALLY hard to find...after about a dozen calls, finally finding one several states away...and then having it finally arrive at your house??!!! Well, I really like the Husqvarna bikes, but they are sold exclusively by Husky...
Thanks Blue. I'll look into that. I have a Trek Rail 9.7 with the Bosch motor. I rode the husky today back to back with the TREK. The TREK on emtb DEFINITELY has more punch than the E8...even when the E8 is on full assist. Both are great motors, but the E8 definitely needs that custom tune to...
Thanks for the quick reply. After messing around with it...I pretty much assumed so. Is replacing the 5000 display for the 8000 a big job? I'd like to use BT.
Can the Bluetooth be connected to the shimano e8 motor with the ec5000 display? I have a new Husqvarna hc7 and can't get it to connect. Can I adjust anything with this head unit or do I need the upgraded display on order to be connected and make motor adjustments?
Can the Shimano E5000 display be replaced with the E8000?? I am looking at a Husky bike and it comes std with the E5000. Not a huge fan of the display...so wondering about this possibility of changing it over to a better unit.
