I have a 2021 Husqvarna HC7 with the Shimano EP8 motor and crappy non-blue tooth E5000 display. I want to convert to the SC-E8000 display that has the color screen and blue tooth capability. My question is...when I order the new display, do I also need to order a new wire harness to go to the motor or is it plug in play with the E5000 wiring? I can't find an answer to this anywhere. Need expert help please. I looked on my old posts but couldn't find this information. Thanks in advance.

I am certainly no expert, but I do now have a bike with an EP8 motor and I did have a bike with the e8000 motor. The e8000 display did indeed have a colour display and have Bluetooth capability. It even had a line in the settings menu "Bluetooth".

I suspect however that you will not be happy connecting that display to your EP8. I believe that what you need is the display "SC-EM800". That is in colour and has all the menu functions you need for the EP8. It does not have a separate line in the settings menu "Bluetooth", which was a bit unnerving for me at first. But rest assured it does have Bluetooth capability, you just don't have to page through the screens to use it.
I hope that info is useful:).

I cannot answer your questions about the wiring harness. As I said, I am not an expert.

Yes, the SC-E8000 display is what I am talking about as a replacement for my stock e5000 display. Sorry if I confused anyone.

No, your post was clear and not confusing at all about wanting to use the SC-E8000 display. :)
I was just issuing a cautionary note as to whether it was the right one to connect to an EP8 motor.

Oh..No problem. I am still wondering about the proper wiring though. I am sure the new display will have to have different wiring to the motor for the Blue Tooth and the custom mapping ability.

The SC-E8000 display isn't compatible with the EP8 motor. You need the newer display. I answered your question in the other thread you also started asking the same question........

SC-E8000 is one of the worst options IMO - not very good connectivity compared to the others. You want the EM800.
