I ditched the stock dropper on my 9.7. Now I have an SDG dropper...buttery smooth. Boy, that stock dropper on Rail's is a real beauty. Trek sb ashamed to put a POS like that on their bikes.
Yeah, you told me that before and it is great advice. I may end up doing that. One great thing I noticed about emtb's though, and one of the reasons I really dig them, is I really don't have to shift that much. I ride single track woods and thankfully, dancing on the shifter just isn't...
Well, here is my take. The Husky HC7 is a REALLY well built bike for the money. Great suspension imho, very comfortable to ride and I love a 180mm bike personally. Husky hands down makes the best looking emtb's on the planet in my opinion. I also have a 2020 Trek Rail 9.7 (carbon. Bosch gen4). I...
There really is no difference. Shit, the industry is so friggin confused on this issue itself it mixes the wheel sizes on the same bike. They even go so far as to put the smaller diameter wheel that theoretically would turn better on the back of the god damn bike.
My Husky has 180mm fr/rr and I really dig it over my Trek Rail 9.7 (160mm fr/rr). I couldn't imagine anything under 160mm travel. Once you get used to longer travel bikes, you can definitely ride more aggressive and have a super plush ride. I ride single track in the mid west USA btw.
Can't you make a bolt? You know, cut one down or file the head etc...? It's just a motor mount bolt, surely you can get something close enough to be able to ride it????
My motor is constantly cutting out too. It will suddenly stop assisting for a second or two and then suddenly it just works again...sometimes the Kiox and motor will go completely dead and then I have to stop and turn it back on. I love the bike when it works, but not super impressed with these...
Ok..it's official. The Trek Rail dropper post is the biggest pile of shit ever put on a $7k emtb. My second cable broke the other day...even after I re-torqued the dropper, it constantly still gets stuck when trying to raise it. I thought I had overtightened it previously, as it worked for about...
Nice. Rails are GREAT bikes. I have a 20 9.7. I like that red color you picked. This is the only color I would buy if I were buying a '22 Rail. The other colors look like dog shit. It's like the people at Trek are either friggin colorblind or don't care about the looks of a bike.
Uhhhh, what? No. My description is akin (cool word btw) to having something friggin awesome and never using it. You know, like having a 10,000hp dragster and driving it to church every Sunday never going over 30mph. OR...having an emtb and never using anything but eco mode.
Thank you!! I consider myself a bright man, but my dropper was working like crap and I didn't know why. I lubed the cable etc.... Wouldn't raise or lower smoothly at all. I was ready to junk it and buy a new one. Ummm, I tightened the seat post clamp to tight. Now, it works perfectly. I never...
Well, I didn't buy an emtb to screw around. I dig emtb mode. If I didn't want the boost, I wouldn't have bought an ebike.
See, it's kind of like having a smoking hot wife and never having sex with her. I mean...what's the point???
Eco mode is for people who do not want to enjoy the full benefits of an EMTB. They have a guilt complex still from being brainwashed by acoustic bike freaks...lol.
The new '22 9.8 and 9.9 look to have nice upgrades. But, who is the friggin lunatic at Trek picking the colors of these bikes? I love Trek bikes (I have a 2020 9.7), but the colors the past 2 years are a friggin joke. 2020 was the best year BY FAR for good looking paint jobs. Thank god they...
