No major differences, they got the new casing brand names.
The eddy current front is now branded as 'super trail' casing instead of 'super gravity', but as there is almost no weight difference: this is 99% the same tire.
Also maybe some improvements on the injection process but the pattern...
It's probably the switch between the first and the second generation.
My local retailer also made discount on the first generation eddy current few weeks ago.
Now he got the second generation full in stock with all sizes available.
With the last Kiox update mine is running fine and I use it on every ride. I have no synchronisation issues.
I also really like the new GPS navigation function. It's a must to create the route at home and then ride it without looking at the map on every intersection!
Actual emtb are designed to withstand dirt, mud and water projections (but not immersion!).
Rough cleaning was done in 10 minutes with water hose and a good brush :)
You need to remove the motor. It's not possible to push the new cable through the frame.
Removing the motor is easier than you think:
remove the cover
unplug all the connectors
remove the 6 torx screws holding the motor and you're done :)
That's also a good opportunity to clean the whole...
I'm cleaning my chain with a cheap ultrasonic cleaner (35€). Just put the dirty chain in the ultrasonic cleaner with warm water and dish soap then forget it for 10 minutes. After that the chain is like new.
I will never go back to other cleaning methods.
For lower budget the 140 SL 625Wh is perfect!
With few upgrades you get the perfect swiss knife:

I changed mine to a PRO Koryak Dropper Post 170mm, see result here:

This was mainly to have more travel (+50mm), I also got the original lever stuck a few times.
For the assembly it's easier to take out the motor...
That's right, the original Kiox support is not optimal. The Acid holder is a good alternative, see pictures here:
