It's a personal preference, but I really love the Assegai out front. I've run the DHF and DHRII previously, but the Assegai is my favourite. Either Aggressor or Dissector for the rear. On my accoustic, I have only ever run Exo Maxx Terra, to keep the weight down. But on my Rail, I have tried...
So the half pedal stroke is the trick, I'll try that out on my next ride. (y) Walk mode isn't so complicated? Any mode apart from "off" , press walk and then press and hold "+":D...at least on the purion
You did well to get that out of your battery! I did similar distance/climbing, possibly a bit less than you, all in EMTB mode, finished the ride on 1 bar, 625WH battery. Usually a ride like that I would still have 2 bars remaining. I agree EMTB is definitely smoother in it's delivery though!
Had my first ride yesterday with the new update. Definitely noticed the increase in power, although I was actually really happy with the power pre-update. I really only use E-MTB mode , and I noticed battery range suffered. I couldn't get it to engage that special pedal-kick thing that is...
I'm not happy with my suspension either, quite wooden feeling and harsh ride, bike (and me) feels like it's going to rattle to bits over chattery stuff. Would love a Fox 38 or a Zeb, but way too expensive at present so will settle for upgrading, I'm keen on a coil shock but not sure whether to...
Hey, just wondering if you've had any luck sourcing the parts you need for your spare battery? I had a quick look around online myself but couldn't find anything
If you can upgrade your suspension as your budget allows you'll end up with a sweet trail smasher  I think it's more fun to get a more budget model and upgrade it over time. That way you end up with components you've chosen yourself
Perfect bike for trekking / bikepacking, so if that's what you want it for, it should be fine! Don't know much about the Flyon motor but I believe it's very good, more powerful than the Bosch and slightly bigger battery too, the built-in lights are a good feature too. If you want to know more...
The difference is, at least here in NZ, 10k gets you a near-top model Rail, whereas for the Spesh... the cheapest ff Levo is 9k, up to 22.5k
