Not as simple as that. Because he would have to change the freehub body too, because his 12 speed cassette is on Shimano microspline. And he can't change the freehub body because he has different hubs. Gary's advice is the best plan, not really as big a job as it sounds
The magnet is a separate piece, you can fit it to any 6 bolt rotor. You can use a 12 speed chain on an 11 speed cassette but not vice versa. Just adjust your limit screw so the derailleur cant move to the 12th speed ?
Very interesting! Perhaps the Makita batteries might even be waterproof? Which the Worx ones are not...i know right? Non-waterproof batteries on a jet washer... go figure
Pretty sure they're not sold without a battery. I would say as well the connection between battery and unit is likely to be proprietary. I could be wrong though!
Just any old water container for camping or whatever is perfect, a wide opening is good so the filter fits through, but if you're filling it from a clean water source you could just remove the filter. I use similar to this...
I just connect the hose that's supplied with it, you can use any water source you like, take a 20 liter tub of water in your car, use a river, fill a bucket, whatever. Even has a filter. Works a treat. ?
Yes you'll be fine without the high/low switch, a nice feature, but I hardly use it on mine, I just select a wide angle spray at the nozzle and it's a good gentle-ish pressure ?
Plus one for the Worx Hydroshot. I fill a 20 litre tub with water and I've got a mobile washing station. Nice gentle spray so doesn't harm anything. The more powerful setting is great for cleaning sheep dung off my tyres. Inexpensive solution
The 2020 Rail 7 is what I have! Yeah the 4th gen motor is much better than the 3rd gen that was on the Powerfly, but the firmware update (which I have) doesn't change the boat anchor effect at 32km/h. I bought the Rail for helping me up steep climbs, and it's the best thing ever for doing that...
It's a 34 tooth. I wish the motor completely decoupled after the 32 km/h assistance threshold. I don't mind that the assistance cuts out at this speed, but it also resists pedalling beyond this speed, like engine braking (even though it's apparently much better than the gen 3 motor) For this...
Awesome! Sounds like an epic way to spend New Years! I can highly recommend Bike Glendhu just out of Wanaka if your itinerary allows for a small detour!
Nothing to do with Star Trek at all then :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I would think the smaller rear wheel getting hung up on stuff would only be an issue on climbs, and would be less of a problem than with an accoustic bike, since you have the motor to help you out in these situations.
