cheap to buy .. 3M clear plastic and 100% watertight
^^ the 3M foam idea looks good too. Do both and you can ride in a monsoon with no issues
Well around the battery anyway .. don't have any motor tricks (y)
Maybe a suggestion for those who note water and dirt behind their batteries. I am not sure why more people don't do this .. especially the bike washing people (like me :))
Just buy some 3m clear plastic film and seal off the seam between the battery and the frame interface. I took my battery...
I have one installed BUT its not for MUD .. even though its a mudguard
Its not for looks either but rather to keep ROCKS from jamming in the pivot area (arch) behind the chainstay bridge. Giant Maestro suspension is quite similar where a rock can get trapped in that area and cause a lot...
This was my work over the last week. Put a new Stans DART tool in the small space above the upper shock mount. Used 3M plastic and epoxied a spare handpump bracket into place. Then used a couple O-rings top and bottom to keep it from sliding. Figure Ill never forget it in the event of a flat (y)
Kudos for the idea and the work you put into this (y)
I see ONE major issue though  .. that Coke can needs to be replaced with a BEER can
Nice work
Ultimately it comes down to your riding style.
I demo'd 2 ebikes at the same time for an entire day …. they were Commencal e-bikes and one was a 29'er and the other was a 27.5. In essence I was trying to decide what wheel size to go for an e-bike (never having ridden one)
Prior to this I...
Ooops…. your right … was confusing the COMP with the base
Agree 100% … your either a mullet man or not (y).
Tires OFF the ground are generally mullet men ... tires ON the ground are generally 29'er guys.
**A very general statement, but I find it to be fairly accurate.
I am a mullet man as I...
I don't think you will notice the climbing ability of one over the other. It will be in how the bike handles. So to add to my points above …….
First consideration : A lighter wheelset will allow for every so slightly more precision in your steering and handling. Its actually quite...
I would go PRO .. reasoning (4 main reasons .. in order)
1. Much better suspension front and back (Fox 36 vs Yari)
2. Wheelset (DT Swiss 1700 vs 1900) .. 1700 is higher quality and lighter
3. Brakes (Code RSC vs R ... not huge but nice)
4. Tires - Maxxis 3C compound vs dual compound
If...
YT USA really seems top notch ! Never heard anything bad about them ….
The rest of YT around the world need to use YT USA as a model for customer service.(y)
Yikes
Maybe some CLEAR nail polish … once dry very very lightly sand .. use a sharpie to make black and then re-apply a piece of 3M clear plastic film over the top.
Let us know what you end up doing and the results. Interested to hear other ideas as well (y)
I would agree with this as Fox is notorious for assembly issues (I doubt the workers on the assembly lines in Taiwan are factory trained technicians). Almost every Fox fork I have owned comes back a completely different fork after servicing by a suspension expert.
I also did a Push Coil...
Wow this has sure turned into a Specialized bashing thread
I have owned lots of Specialized bikes over the years and still own one (not a Levo .. it was not the right choice for where and how I ride).
I love the design and the engineering Specialized puts into their bikes … top notch ...
Except the Levo design is based on the Stumpjumper frame and for all intensive purposes is a TRAIL bike … not an enduro bike. The Decoy uses the Capra frame and geo. Two completely different bikes.
The Specialized Kenevo is built off the Enduro bike platform, making it the best "apples to...
My suspicion is it was 100% entirely due to Suspension setup.
I am sure others can lend their own stories .. but lets admit that the QC at Fox during the assembly process is questionable at best (putting it mildly).
How many stories of excessive grease being used at the factory in the negative...
Had the HSC circuit re-valved on the 36 fork. ** Ill try to find my invoice to provide specific details of what was done.
Since its still winter where I am (2 more weeks I hope till riding) I am just going off riding down the street and bouncing around like a kid on a BMX -lol … but the front...
^^ Thanks for the confirmation and validating the rumour of the Fox38 appearing next year. Great work (y). I'll keep an eye out for a Fox 38 as well since 2021 usually means June 2020 for aftermarket goods :p
FWIW .. I did have my HSC circuit revalved over the winter … suspension tuner said...
