@Doug Stampfer great review, good to know you're happy with the mullet setup, interesting measurement comparisons with the Merida. I'd be interested to know as well what the head angle is in mullet form with the flip chip set to high...is it similar to stock ?
@Doug Stampfer yes those adapters are extremely good value...im told that store will soon be stocking Galfer rotors, which may be cheaper than the Sram centerlines...im looking forward to your impressions post-mullet!
edited to add, BikeInn have 223mm Galfers for $150 for the pair including...
I got confused over this too...for the 2020 Rail, both the frame and fork are Post Mount 180mm. This is the minimum rotor size, meaning if you take off your adapters and bolt your calipers directly to frame / fork, you'd be running 180mm rotors. So the adapters you need are post mount 180 -...
400 miles is very low mileage, so everything should be in excellent order. If you're happy with the price I would go for it. Motor/battery and suspension are the big ticket items, you want these to be in good condition, brakes/drivetrain/bearings all wear out over time so are consumable items...
I would never go back to riding a steam bike, so in that way, the Eeb has ruined me, but every time I'm out I ride longer, and have more energy for the descents, so as a result I have gained more confidence, and I have a lot more fun. Yes the bike was more expensive to buy, but it's about the...
You can straighten the derailleur hanger using a special tool like this one :

Or get a shop to do it for you, but if the...
100% your cable is too tight. Either create some slack by loosening the pinch bolt as @Kamill suggests, or you might have to redo it with a fresh cable - you won't be able to create slack using the barrel adjuster because it's already wound all the way in. If you redo it with fresh cable have...
Yes...you can use any dropper lever you want...I have the PNW lever, it's really nice to use...you should be able to mount it to your brake too, unless you prefer to have it on your bars? What dropper do you have ?
Yes any chain from the SRAM family will work, the only part that is not cross-compatible (AFAIK) is the cassette, both SX and NX use the old Shimano HG freehub body, whereas the GX , X01 and XX1 cassettes use SRAM's own XD freehub body...so you will need to get an NX cassette when yours wears...
Trek Rail, because
is too much of a mouthful, and the Rail has more travel, so in that respect at least, the Cube is not higher spec...plus I have a Rail, and love it 😆
I have one of these. The bladder only holds 1.5 littes though, the 3 litres refers to its total storage capacity 😉 I love mine and would be reluctant to go back to a backpack...the hip pack keeps weight nice and low and avoids sweaty-pack-back...I have run out of water on the odd longer summer...
Yes I'm sure I'm going to love the extra braking power, also less strain on the hands...I also tend to drag the back brake a bit, and I've noticed the rotor is a bit discolored, so it's obviously been getting a bit hot...but my appetite for bike parts is greater than my income so may have to...
Do you have a 2021 9.8? I have a 2020 7 alloy, both frame and fork are 180 post mount, so I think Hope mount M is what I need to run 220s...but I think your bike has the Zeb which is 200 post mount....
Nothing at all decent about Bontrager wheels in my humble opinion, but in your place I would definitely keep the carbons for MTB and the alloys for road use
