never understood why folk switch off going downhill..........if you are not pedalling you are using no juice, and if a downhill has some uphill sections leaving the motor on means its ready to assist as required. Offroad I am in EMTB and rarely touch the mode control all ride, leaving me to just...
A lot of assumptions in that analysis and does not take account of the biggest variable which is how bikes are used by different types of riders and the different environment in which they are used. Many bikes are used beyond their intended use/classification which in itself may not cause...
You need to cycle the shock every 20 to 30 PSI in order to equalise it. Suggest you remove all air and start a gain but this time compressing the shock about 25% of its travel every 30 PSI.
Almost exclusively EMTB ( turned up to 3 in the Flow App). Very rarely use/need turbo even on the steepest climbs. Some Tour+ but only on tarmac and I avoid that like the plague!!
I have the 750w/h battery and before I turned up EMTB I reckoned a reliable range using a mix of EMTB and Turbo...
mmm.............if the hanger was bent you would not get reliable gear changes when the bike is on the stand..........and you said it was fine then but not when riding. If you bike was a full sus I would have said you possibly need to reset B tension since shock sag would be the difference...
I had that exact problem and it turned out to be the tyre being held off the rim bead very slightly due to the rim tape in that location being folded over. Before you blame the wheel try examining the rim tape especially at the valve location which is where you have determined the noise occurs.
Are you talkinmg a bout NEW bikes? ie latest Levo and Whyte?
I have 2 Whyte bikes E160 RSX and an older 2020 E180 RS...........before I had a Levo Comp.........gen 2 not the latest gen 3.
29er or Mullet
So firstly the Levo is a mullet..............the Whyte E160 RSX is 29er, the E160 RS MX is a...
I bought one to try. £22 from Halfords and delivered free next day!!
I had to swing the Kiox 300 on my Whyte e160 RSX out of the way but no such problem on my E180 RS.
I think it is a better solution than my drop handlebars mod and I agree with the above comments about its strength.
I found the...
since the TCU and Mastermind are the bikes controllers I would guess the bike would need a firmware update in order to work if one was changed for the other....maybe even a sytem hardware element changed ( e.g. motor PCB).
no....the tyre and suspension will absorb any shock and the top tube is fabricated to mostly withstand compressive forces ( ud mat laid along the length). Damage to a top tube is most likely to occur with twisting or clamping forces.
why do you need one?? Neither my E 180RS nor my E160 RSX has one and I have never had a chain come off the chainwheel. If the chainwheel is narrow/wide and the mech clutch is working properly there s hould be no need.
My son broke his and the replacement he got was a hardened rubber rather than thermoplastic....much better at absorbing the occasional scrape or hit......his bike is a gen 2 comp.
It is strange that with the popularity of emtb no manufacturer has come up with a specific product. None of my bikes can be clamped on the top tube due to the shape of the frame triangle and the position of the shock. Where it is possible to use the top tube but the frame is carbon it is not...
.......and just as we discuss lack of any police enforcement of illegal electric bikes I read a news report today detailing the seizure of more than a dozen illegal bikes in Cardiff City centre. That included some Deliveroo bikes. For once the news article accurately set out the law regarding...
I wish people...especially the media........would stop using the term "E Bike". It has no legal definition and could mean anything from a pedelec/EPAC to a motorbike. Very often media reports of lithium battery fires or tragic accidents merely refer to the vehicle involved as an E Bike when it...
The nominal rating of an electric motor is the maximum output it can sustain over a short period of time without overheating and destroying itself. Yes 250w motors can peak at c 540w but only for a very short period of time.....ie seconds.
