    Accidentally purchased illegal ebikes?

If the bike was sold as a cycle I reckon you have a cast iron case for being mis sold............because a cycle ( in the UK) is either an analogue bike or a pedelec ( 250w motor/restrcited to pedal assist/no throttle, max assisted speed 25kph). Even if it was described a s a BIKE, that is a...

[POLL] Hanging an eMTB by it's dropper post in a workshop stand?

mostly vertical pressure not at an angle.............and if all your 90k was on the saddle the front wheel would be uncontrollable:D Seriously what we are looking at in terms of forces with a clamp on the seat post is a best a 200mm section being clamped and the forces acting on it are both...

    2024 Strive:ON

Its not a bout the lube.............my mate just uses 3 in 1 oil and gets loads of miles from a chain...........it is about the cleaning. a chain actually needs very little lube to prevent wear but definitely needs the grit and dust removed regularly. It also helps of course to back off...

[POLL] Hanging an eMTB by it's dropper post in a workshop stand?

This has all been discussed before and the main argument for using the dropper post is that Park Tool say it is OK ( Park Tool supply the majority of LBS with their stands and dont make dropper posts!!). Physics tells me it is a terrible idea when the average full fat EMTB weighs c 24kg and due...

    Strive:ON problems

From the posts a bove I assume the bike is fitted with the Bosch rail system.............connector at the top of the downtube and a latch type lever at the bottom. If so that is the same system as used in my bike...Whyte E160 RSX and neither myself or anyone else with that bike...that I know...

    Bosch CX-R---what bikes?

From what I have seen in reviews of the race motor I would not restrict my choice of bike in order to get one. You can tune all modes in the Flow app on the standard CX motor to achieve similar results.

    New Whyte e-Lyte anyone ?

the is no LEGAL differentiation but the use of stiles etc can still be used to prevent cycle or vehicle access. The difference in Scotland is therefore that pedestrians are not protected by the LEGAL classification of a footpath as in England. So if you chose to ride what has been optimised for...

Bosch Smart motor 2022 - walk assist problems

as a bove I have the Whyte E160 RSX..........walk assist works perfectly so does not look like a generic Bosch Smart issue.

Anybody had issues with broken upper bolt holding shock

Agreed but there is something you could try first. Remove the bottom shock fixing so that any pressure on the remains of the bolt is alleviated. As you move the shock now through the available amount of travel does the bolt stub remain still or does it rotate with the shock. Whilst severe...

New Cube 140 stereo TM kiox issue

The Kiox300 does not pair with anything.........its merely a slave screen working off the LED Remote. The only pairing is between your the Flow App on your phone and the LED Remote. Is that your problem? What faults do you have ( not error codes..faults)?

    Three years on

I have had a Whyte E180RS for 3 years and it is now on 1000kms ( it shares duties with another bike). I do all my own servicing except for the suspension. No faults and the only replacement parts changed due to wear has been the bottom jockey wheel and rear tyre ( Assegai DD). Over those 3...

Annoying brake pad rub on disc rotors.

Not familiar with the Wild but it is certainly possible on some rear hub designs for the axle ( not the thru axle) to require resetting after the sort of distance you described.........depends on the hub design.........due to the grease used when originally assembled being displaced. If it is...

Levo Gen 3 Gen 3 Levo rear axle dimensions

I assume you mean thru axle! Original spec is 174.5 long and has a thread pitch of 1 so the one you landed on is no good. Try this one...its 1 x173mm which should be fine. https://www.biketart.com/products/wolf-tooth-wolf-axle-for-12mm-rear-thru-axle?variant=40810365485235

No power to motor - Purion dead?

Try switching the system on using the switch on the battery (assuming you can access that whilst the battery is still connected). If the system then switches on it mostly points to a Purion fault. If it does not switch on then you have a connection issue as per the reply above, most likely...

    Steering knock blocks

I have yet to see a knock block design that would prevent the forks hitting the frame in a decent crash...sometimes not even that! It is a stupid idea. The best solution is to research ways to lower the fork crown such that is does not hit the frame and I believe there are some on this forum...
