Alloy wont last long and will result in chain suck as it wears and catches the chain, i found this out after I toasted one of those rings in the space of a single ride after repeat climbs of a huge hill in turbo mode on the 46T granny gear.
My recommendation is to go with the Praxis Steel...
That ain't a bad thing. I've got a Shimano e8000 bike and have recently ridden 3 bike with the gen 4 Bosch motor on a demo day, Focus, Scott, Trek. Have got to say the Gen 4 bosch is all round a lot better than the Shimano. More punch from a standstill especially if taking off in a higher gear...
While on the subject of pedals.... I have been chasing something light weight and super thin for a while and i think i have finally found the one! Previous to this i ran the XPEDO Spry, very light at 243g and very thin, but the bearings have developed play after not too long.
Haven't taken any...
My bike came with BR-M8000 XT 2 pot front and rear. I have recently fitted a BR-M8120 XT 4 pot caliper to the front and very happy. Easy to bleed, great shimano lever feel, intial bite is strong and overall has big stopping power.
Another to look at... the new SLX 4 pot BR-M7120 seems to be...
I've contemplated grabbing a digital gauge to make the process a little easier, quicker and more accurate but i just can't fault my Topeak Pocketshock DXG - zero leakage from the valve with the design on this one too.
Hopefully it is this, though i doubt it...
This is the Forestal eMTB more to come in March! - Singletrack Charged
Either way, can't wait to see what the Forestal is all about.
I've fitted the same light and it reduced my range by 20km and the bike was shutting down at 2 bars. Make sure you turn the battery reserve down to 0 minutes from the usual 180 minutes. STunlocker can do this.
I have a short stem and 35mm bars, recently been looking at quad lock and asked the same question. The stem mount will work perfectly. To quote their website -
STEM BIKE MOUNT
Suits bar sizes 25-40mm in diameter
25-30mm tape would be ideal for those 35mm wheels - 40mm wont work as it is too wide. Bearing in mind you only need to cover the spoke holes to create a seal and nothing more, the suggestion of some to use a tape that goes from edge to edge of the rim including the bead sealing area is in my...
Does the e8000 have an angle sensor? If so, and it is used to determine parameters for the walk assist... Incorrect setting of the motor angle parameter would affect the reading from the sensor putting it out of calibration
I've got the OneUp EDC tool in the steerer tube. This has a few little tools, chain breaker, quick links etc and the little storage bit I've added band aids, pain killers and $note. Bundle of zip ties inside the handlebars
Otherwise i carry a lightweight hydration backpack with a 2L bladder...
