I'd give up power before I'd give up range. I'd like all manufacturers to have a smaller internal battery for your after work rides, and extenders for longer rides. I'm not one to worry about ounces or even a couple of pounds if I get a bike to ride like I want it to.
With the advent of this new type of lightweight, lower power emtb, I've been having an argument with a mate. He's convinced that Skinny emtbs will take over and FullFats are a thing of the past. All things being equal, you win the lottery for example, what will your next emtb be? MegaPower are...
There are more "emtbs" coming from China these days. They aren't in the same level of quailty as those from established bike makers/designers, but cheaper, and more powerful since they don't care about the laws at all. Like everything else bike related that comes out of China designed by people...
I cook rotors all the time, just ignore it and ride. They'll recook and sort of straighten out again. I only true rotors if they get bent in shipping or something.
How do you find riding with bifocals though? I've tried it and wasn't a fan. I stick a pair of cheapo readers in with my tools in case I need to fix something that requires eyes....
After reading on another cycling forum of several JRA facial degloving accidents, I decided a FF seemed prudent. I've had a couple of crashes where I was happy to have facial protection. One quick front wheel wash out where I slapped down hard enough to smack the side of my head without having...
I don't think that is the best argument to make for access, since you can't tell the difference between Class 1-3 or many ebikes that are above that either. To say it's futile is to encourage them to throw up their hands and keep the ban in place.
I've had a couple, and I'm speaking of the enduro style FF, not a true DH helmet, but yeah, the only reason they are hotter is that the cheek pads stop airflow over your cheeks. Otherwise, they are the same as a half lid. I figure they are 5-10% hotter, and mostly that is at a slow pace, once...
You don't need an emtb for a dirt path, just get her a Pedego or Rad bike and put good tires on it. If you get a cargo bike, the kid can ride on the back once it's old enough.
Bad bois, bad bois, whatcha gonna do when they come for you....
