    You think the frame may be damaged? I think the main reason for weight reduction is the closed downtube without battery cutout. I would take the risk and try it 😊

    The challenge on the range extender is how to connect to the system. One option is to plug it into the charging port (like Orbea and others) with reduced amps flowing into the main battery. Not a good option imho, because if You drain the main battery qicker then recharging will be possible...

    Well, the Bafang 410Wh battery weight is out of 2023 Workbook. The 720Wh battery weight ist quoted from the frame manufacturer selling this battery. In my world this is more then an assumption 😊

    Bafang 410 Wh battery is quoted at 2.6 kg. So weight penalty is only 1.2 kg. This means 46% more weight, but 75% more capacity. Deal!

    Chart says fork length 572 mm. 170 mm fork is about 586 mm. This will slacken You head angle about 0.7 deg., ending up at appr. 63.8 deg.

    I used this firmware CRX10NC4813i142015.8-28-2230-20210805.bin You can download it from GitHub https://github.com/OpenSourceEBike/Bafang_M500_M600/tree/main/Firmwares/Official/Motor/m500 I remember the firmware was very powerful and battery attenuation only below 20% SoC.

    Thanks for sharing! This whining noise is well known from my M510, but I think it’s not as loud as what You hear on the video from the Forestal M820. I hope it will not be that disturbing with M820! I don’t like the noise of my M510, this would be the first thing to improve if I were Bafang...

    It will give You a flater steering and seat angle by appr. 1.5 Degree compared to original specs. More downhill / enduro geo, but very good to ride imho.

    Sorry but I don’t get it 210 x 50 is the shock length / stroke specified for the frame. So it would do nothing to the geo for my understanding….
