Battery Stopped Charging - Fathom PRo

Oh, I no longer think like a trouble shooter  It would also be good if you could try a different charger, just in case. Are you able to do that? The bike shop where you got it from? Also, try a different power point or direct to a power point if you're using a power board or extension lead.

2021 will be a Super EMTB year

Reliable motor, battery (connection), and speed sensors; reliable for at least 10,000 km.

Battery Stopped Charging - Fathom PRo

I think the shimano batteries can. The internal battery has a switch down near the terminals. Good luck.

Speed sensor showing wrong or no speed, but only when not pedaling

Still good. The first one I put on with two part expoxy. The 2nd one I didn't want to wait, and it was still a theory at that point and needed more testing, so I wasn't going to go all anal with epoxy again :) I did wipe over the old expoxied magnet with some isopropyl alcohol to clean it.

    Answered E7000 display odometer discrepancy

When you say "faulty memory", that is probably exactly what it is. It must have some memory for storage - and you can get faulty memory. It doesn't look like a software issue. Anyway, it's looking like a warranty issue

    Intermittent Zinging Rotor Sound

I've always kept the springs when fitting new pads. And the split pins, if I get new ones. No idea why :). I know it's easy - I just assumed that's what it was and wasn't worried. It has done it since new. I always pick up each end and spin the wheel, before a ride and all is good. Just on bumpy...

Speed sensor showing wrong or no speed, but only when not pedaling

I did have a similar issue, of my own doing. I installed a larger rotor on the rear. It didn't come with a magnet, so I epoxied one on in the right location. It is only 5mm x 1mm; about 1/3 or 1/4 of the area of the original. Anyway it worked fine...for two days :ROFLMAO: Like you, I applied...

    Intermittent Zinging Rotor Sound

Ok, yours must sound more solid. My sound is like a loose zinging :ROFLMAO: What I was getting at is not the pistons or pads or anything else - just that spring. Imagine if it isn't expanding and holding the pads like it should. The noise to me sounds like the spring itself. Might be worth just...

    Intermittent Zinging Rotor Sound

Do you guys have one of those fork shaped springs that hold the pads in place? :ROFLMAO: I have the same zinging noise (awesome description for what it is), and just assumed it was this spring. I shall remove it one day and spread it out a bit (or straighten it, or use a spare from previous pad...

    Brake Caliper Alignment

Try it. First loosen off the brake reservoir on the handlebar and move it so that it is level. Undo the bolt where the fluid / oil goes in. Remove wheel, now push pads all the way home (some oil might come out of the reservoir). Put tape or something on rotor to use as a spacer. Reinsert wheel...

32 tooth chainring with Shimano SM-CDE80 Chainguide?

Well that deckas ring @ 32 teeth is working for members here and it is 11 x. I looked at wolf tooth before but was put off by the price. Do you realise that wolf tooth are talking about bolt length (6mm and 8mm)? 6mm sounds very small, considering most rings are 4mm thick. I wouldn't worry about...

How do you store/stand your ebike in the garage?

I'd never looked into the figures; that isn't much difference at all.

    Brake Caliper Alignment

Yes, I forgot about about this. I used to use cloth tape on a section of the rotor - then remove it and clean with isopropyl alcohol.

    Solar Generators?

I have subscribed to this youtube channel. Much of their interest and content is about solar power in RV's and vans. They're based on your side of the pond too :)

    SRAM RockSchox service frequency

I do a similar thing with brake oil that has been expelled from bleeding. Clean all hydraulics, then use a cotton tip to apply a smear of oil. Then the same as you. It has the added benefit of getting the dust out from the top of the seals. When you push down, there is an oil ring left on the...

How do you store/stand your ebike in the garage?

Yes, this is what I do. I figured it out after (after several years) getting no results with normal bleeding. In fact, I don't believe old school bleeding does anything. Because of the long, steep, technical descents here, I think the oil in the lines gets hot. Supposedly that's when air bubbles...

Shimano modes and motor set up

Yes, although shimano themselves have a mode where trail is in low (dynamic mode). I imagine it is still dynamic up to whatever the level of assist is. If you leave it on high, it will be dynamic up to maximum; if set to low, it will be dynamic to whatever the upper limit of low is. Looking at...

    Share your power settings...

I don't know what the figures are, I'm using shimano custom profile: eco in med (it's usually high), and trail in low. I'm in eco most of the time, except when I ride with an emtb buddy. On some technical steep climbs I go to trail.

32 tooth chainring with Shimano SM-CDE80 Chainguide?

The only time I get into 12th is when I've finished riding and I store the bike in 12th to relax the rear mech spring. This info is for shimano e8000 which has a 104bcd. There are quite a few around. I was initially looking for a 30, but a 32 will give me the same low gear as I have on my...

How do you store/stand your ebike in the garage?

This works for me too, but, I add a hand brake, which is awesome. For home made hand brake use one zip tie, make the right sized circle so that the zip tie fits over the handle and the brake lever held tight. I leave the zip tie on the handlebar - it comes in handy sometimes in the bush when I...
