For convenience I'm posting my W011 error and cause here too - it might help someone. I upgraded my rear rotor from 180 to 203mm. The new rotor didn't have a magnet, so I epoxied one on the arm in the right location. The magnet I used is only 5mm x 1mm, but it was working normal. For two days...
No, I'm not a hard rider; but the country I ride bucks me and the bike like we're in a rodeo :D. I had to play with the guide this afternoon actually, track side. I can see it will easily adjust to 32 teeth.
No, it's geared too high. I'm using from 1st to 8th (the 8 lowest gears). At the other end of the range they don't get used. I could still use lower, it isn't essential though. I'm hoping it will make 9 gears in regular use. Then, with the 32km limit fix, I might use 10 or 11? Where I ride now...
As per the flying dutchman stated above. Another option for the rear would be the maxxis DHRII in maxgrip - I think this would be on a par with assegai. I run the DHRII through the winter here.
I really like the dhf on the rear when it's dry. Fast roller, good climbing, high volume. It's awesome on the front too; but I've slipped out a couple of times in the transition. I'm not aggressive enough. So assegai front is perfect for me. Lots of siping and lots of edges - I just assume they...
I've kept my now ancient acoustics - I know that sooner or later I'll ride them. I have an old, heavy, cheap but well maintained mtb that I use for transport sometimes - I really like it. I've found that I'm as fit as I ever was (well, for the last 10 years).
You mean the sm-due11? I have that one. The connector that goes into the motor looks the same. The distance from the magnet and the pickup for the rotor is about 1cm. I'm explaining this because I don't know the distance between magnet and receiver for what you have. I have put a new rotor on...
Yeah, wet rock :) I'd go assegai double down maxgrip both ends while it's wet. If you get a season that is reasonably dry, I'd go dhf on the rear, double down, maxterra. Note: I think you'd be OK with exo on the front, if you want to save some weight and money, but stay with the maxgrip. This is...
Is au$60 too much? There are two types, one that works off the rotor - I'm guessing that is the one you want. SM-DU11? It is actually cheaper, au$45 delivered. The first one works off the spoke magnet.
I have maxxis dhrII and assegai in exo. I thought they were stacks strong enough till I went tubless. I have had to increase pressure by 2 lbs in each. The inner tubes gave them awesome damping and I could run lower pressures - they are really different tyres without tubes. Not as good at...
there is a power hit with o ring or x ring chains (on motorbikes) - that's why people don't race with them. I imagine they wouldn't work too well on cassettes. Maybe a rohloff or something like that.
as in mountain range. It looks as though you should have one close by. Most trails here seem to be in poor steep hilly country. It's probably the only country not good for building or farming but makes it awesome for mtb :) and a refuge for wallabies.
I ride in steep country. I have 51 on the rear, and 34 on the front. I have ordered a 32 front. The other reason. A lower gear isn't essential for me - I would use it, but I don't think I'd get up anything more than I am now - my limitation is skill and fitness. A 32 would also open up the other...
When you say "with it off", do you mean not powered on? Or powered on but not providing assistance? If not powered on, it won't record. If on, but not providing assistance, it will record.
