I had a W013 error on my bike - it was my own fault. I replaced the rear rotor and glued my own magnet to the rotor. The magnet was woefully small; I now have three. In short, I think that error code can relate to a few different things; in my case it was the speed sensor. Hope you get your bike...
It was all stuff I'd mostly forgotten about. I don't think any of it is really applicable to mtb because of traction, other than trail braking for slow manoeuvring etc. Who's heard of standing an mtb up mid corner? I can't imagine it happening  Now, braking hard before a corner and going...
Yeah, you're all pretty close. I think I have it, I had to think about it; haven't had it happen for 20 years or so. Why doesn't it happen more often in corners? Coming up to a corner too hot and grabbing handfuls of brake will keep the bike going in a straight line - that's more common. Most...
I suppose it comes down to what a charge cycle is. We'll get a lot more charge cycles which are actually partial charges, but sufficient. If it isn't enough charge, then you can just charge more. If I needed more I'd charge more, as I do on those odd occasions.
For me it means the steep technical climbs, that I never would have done on a clockwork, are now in my ballpark. Before I used to ride up a relatively easy track, with just a few minor obstacles, to get to the top like everyone else. It seemed a waste and the focus was predominantly on the...
Check out this guy; there is some stuff close to inner city. Also the bike paths are awesome - you can travel to the outer burbs and around the city quite easily.
Yes, it would be good. There is an awesome timer charger thing - the picture way above is the brand - you can do it with that, say stop at 80%. It is prohibitively expensive though - something that a bike shop might keep.
I have kept a record of charging times and percentages. It's pretty...
I'd love the aggressor, if it was a bit bigger. I really like the look of the tread and it seems reasonable volume. I generally choose tyres by looks and tend to like high volume. Everyone seems to like the ewilds - they must be great.
It sounds like a safety feature, if you mean you'd like to squeeze in that extra % and disreguard the safety aspect? If you're talking charging to 60% or 80% a cheap timer is good for ballpark +/- 10%. That's what I do.
Using the shimano app, there are 3 modes each with 3 settings (easy, medium, high). I have eco on med, trail and boost on low. I'm mostly in eco, which is easier than a clockwork bike. A 20km ride with hills etc on my ebike feels equiv to 15km on my clockwork - same amount of time and tiredness...
One tyre that I'm definite on is maxxis assegai 29 x 2.5, max terra on the front - that's a keeper. The only change I'd make is exo+ (it's exo). Exo seems fine tubeless as it is now. On the rear I have a few tyres to wear out (maxxis dhrII and dhf, both 27.5 x 2.6). The dhrII is probably the...
Yes, you should really hold back on the firmware updates! I still haven't updated my shimano system - latest updates have been out for a couple of months now. Looking at those updates, I realise they will improve nothing for me, so I won't apply those updates. If it was an update that would...
That isn't for all specialized though is it? I thought it was just for models that have troublesome motors? And for those that do get the extra 2 years on the motor, is that also for the battery?
I'd have no problem riding such a bike if I needed to :) It was a good decision not to get a bike that was too big. Going cheaper is also good, I believe, especially if you're on a learning curve. Use it, practice, learn, have fun. Just spend money on little things, like pedals and making the...
Just an idea, while you still have your trek bike. I still have a scott scale 50 circa 2012. It was originally a xc bike, and when new had a long stem. I imagine this was to get weight over the front wheel when climbing. I got the bike half price new to make way for new stock. Anyway that stem...
Are you conscious of weight on your hands? If so your body position might be wrong. And of course, is your hand gripping hard? Try to think of those two things next time you ride. If yes to either then you can look at remedying it.
