sure, the problem was it did nothing to help the beads sit in the right place. Compressor didn't help either. I eventually got it with just the track pump . I'm not sure it's less volume, just a different shape (like an M). My understanding is that it is meant to help sit the beads into...
Is it after you've added or removed some pressure? It could be the negative and positive air chambers equalizing :ROFLMAO:. I only just learned about it from the linked video posted by Topolino. If you go to 3'30" you'll get an explanation. It's an unnecessarily complex video, but the dude did...
Doh! I actually had a look there, saw a couple of familiar videos I was familiar and frustrated with. Didn't see the one that mattered. I don't know how to delete this thread now, so I'll leave it.
watching videos trying to sus out rebound settings. I understand the theory, but until today I couldn't tell you one way or the other, by feel, if one setting was good or bad :( Found this simple video, and just ran through it on my bike and my partner with her bike - awesome! I could feel the...
fair enough. The rotor locks were one of the few that were hard to break open by an expert. He has managed to break everything open; the rotor lock was the hardest.
This is for removing / doing up the valve core. If you don't have a tool for it, #11 on the spoke tool fits nicely. Yes, I will buy some of those cheap doo daddies - never had a need for one till now.
I'm a keen student and slow to learn because I mostly ride alone. I've started playing on ledges, just. It was good to see my technique on the ledges, which is why I asked my partner to film. I want to get comfortable with bigger drops - that will open up a couple of interesting tracks for me...
I think it would depend on the tyre construction. Eg, what type of maxxis tyres do you run tubeless? I have exo; very light weight and no good on the rear tubeless. I'd go exo+ on the front next time - the exo seems to be doing OK; + isn't a huge step up. On the rear I think I'll stay with...
How does it compare to the LTD (aluminium) model? Aluminium model is cheaper and easier to live with. Personally, if I was you and you still have your clockwork bike, I'd chill. It's all their way right now; it won't be long till that changes.
do you actually need something both sides? At home if my bike is upside down it is on a sheet of cardboard - so I just need one side of the bar raised a bit. Cardboard protects the seat too. Just cardboard from appliances etc - I also use them for lying on when I'm under the car.
Maxxis exo on the front has does this; my own latex mix. No pressure loss, all is good . I'd only ever run exo on the front tubeless, and then with 1psi more than I do with a tube; they're useless on the rear tubeless.
Even in the bush, I just look for a stick or rock of the right size on the ground. I only need it for the up down switch (shimano system) on the left side. Most of the time I don't even move the stick or stone, just lift the bike upside down and put the left side end of the handle bar on the...
