I'm not sure I understand wepn; did the magpie attack cause the temporal arteritis? Either way I wish you well with your eyesight - may you have a full recovery.
How do the top of your bars sit compared to your seat height? Do they look level? If so consider doing some neck stretching.
On an older bike I have fitted a ritchey comp riser to get some height in the front. I used to have trouble getting bar height close to seat height, and this was always...
I thought the 3rd person trail shots were best too :ROFLMAO:; hearing the chicken come down the track.
I think the chook is more versatile than a bell; if someone doesn't respond nicely you can whack them over the head with the chook.
I'm tempted to get a bulk order and toss one into any...
Couldn't it be simply that the ring is for 1x11? If it is slightly wider profile it will hang onto the chain? I have a very cheap after market ring on my shimano 12x and it isn't any trouble. It is a narrow wide ring but I went to the trouble of confirming that it was 12x compatible - so many...
I measure the tensions for each side first, then find the average. Rotor side on the front should be higher, also cluster side on the rear should be higher. I then record the average for each side of each wheel. If a wheel is a little off centre in the frame (like a mm or so), it's easy to...
yes, I'm the same. It probably has a lot more to do with geometry - I'm guessing a xc bike would be easier. The further out the front the wheel is the harder it would be I imagine.
misaligned bearings are supposedly the biggest cause of bottom bracket creak on clockwork bikes. It's possible that your bearings are seated well but recesses for the bearings are not aligned. It may not be fixable. Good luck
I'm not sure about steering out of harm's way; it's probably that there mustn't be as much weight on the front usually. Because of that the fork is generally more supple than the shock too - lower pressure. And lower pressure in the tyre all adds up to lighter, more reactive suspension?
Well, just some feedback. I'm all for good value everything, and have bought such a bike myself. I don't see cf as good value; I think it is more fickle, harder to live with, and only 500gm lighter. Also, I would have thought x fusion dropper is better than KS; better and cheaper and they just...
Some, or all of what you say, is possible, of course. It's a pity that you're all left to assume. They would have to "sell" this to me, as in convince me that it was a good thing for me to do.
I do, in the rear only. Very rocky here, and sharp rock. I use it with a maxxis welterweight smaller size tube and a lightweight maxxis (exo only) tyre. I've had it for about 2 months and it just works. I'm still tubeless in the front - it seems to be a good mix for me. Do a search here - quite...
I wonder about that too. I've badly broken an ankle / foot and had stitches in a knee in the last few years - but a long time between those injuries. I've come off a lot, mostly due to pedal problems with limited ankle / foot use, but nothing major. Nothing I could wear, and ride in, would have...
I think that is the fork I have. It is a 135mm, supposed to be a 140mm. It has been good for me - although I've been wondering if I'm capable of noticing the difference between forks or I'm immune to marketing? For me it just works. I have it set up well for me. I've serviced it once - oil and...
Sealed bearings do cause a bit of drag. You can stick your finger in the hole and turn it for feel. I would still think that your wheel should spin OK. If you put your finger in the hole and turn and it doesn't feel smooth - that's something else. What you can do is gently remove the seal from...
I've got a small compressor that I had 80psi in the tank - that didn't work. What did work, and what I've used in the past, is a joe blow floor pump. The tyre was one that I was swapping back on, and the beads must have narrowed in a bit while it was lying down on it's side. I haven't had any...
