Doesn't it depend on what tracks you ride? I imagine 200/200 would be awesome in whistler and riding up forestry roads / fire trail or taking chair lift, but not where I ride.
I tried it, but it doesn't seem to get inside the chain. I've been doing the hot wax bath thing for a while. The chain has had minimal stretch compared to when I was using a wet lube. It is also much less maintenance time - I clean (pour hot water over the chain) and wax every 100km.
I would say that tubes are better for intermittent riders. My partner for example does not ride enough to bother with tubeless.
If you've only had one puncture that is pretty good. Tubeless with sealant is no guarantee against punctures; small holes may seal (in 10mins or so), larger ones...
I really like the concept of the bike, especially in alloy, but not it's execution. I ride in steep country - 203 rotors, shimano br-m520 4 pot brakes with metal pads. I'd probably have to change the levers to work with that. Then I think "why?". It just seems underspecced, unless it's an analog...
As Gary has already said - they're awesome. The dhf on the front has made me a better rider and I'm enjoying it more. I wasn't aggressive enough in my style and was wary of them - perhaps this is your problem too?
If you're not aggressive enough to push those tyres onto the side knobs, then...
with new cars and motorcycles, the "manual" generally says there is no need to warm up the motor. Unless, of course, you have a high end sports bike / car. Enthusiasts generally warm up their engines. The consensus is that the average car serves a different purpose for the intended owner. Two of...
From when? Batteries do lose charge over time. 30% is fine; most battery nerds suggest between 30 and 60% for storage. I would be concerned if it was 100% or flat.
It is a bit better than previous though - it knocks out the potential of trouble with updating from the internet via wireless in real time. A cable connection to the bike would be nice too, of course; especially considering what is at stake.
That is a potential problem with any OTA updates. I'd much rather do an update via a downloaded file (post checksum). That rules out quite a few potential update issues in one hit.
I generally charge to 80%. Once a month I leave it charging till it shuts down (full charge on a shimano system). The 80% charge has saved me a few times where I've intended to ride, but haven't for weeks and even months.
Of course, if I needed more, I'd charge to 100%. I use a timer, so I'd...
Front wheel bearings: I have a '20 model e140 LTD (aluminium). I had the front wheel out and the axle felt notchy. I originally thought (or thought I read) that the wheels on this bike had sealed bearings, well the front doesn't. 2,700km and the grease was a bit dark - originally light green...
I have a '20 model LTD with 3,000km. I was going to start working my way through them. Not take them out - clean as well as I can, remove outer seal, thumb new grease in, reassemble. That should buy me another 3,000 km. Great question though, and they will be needed eventually.
If I lived there I would never have discovered mtb! I'd be like the michelin man on skis or snowshoes:rolleyes: - you'd be lucky to see my beady little eyes 😟
